The Heart of Europe, World Islands

The Heart of Europe, Dubai World Islands is a $5 billion mega-project planned as a permanent tourist staycation. Featuring 6 themed islands, this grand resort spans 6 million sq. ft. Hence, it will accommodate over 16,000 tourists upon completion. The project is being developed in three phases with one already through. It is planned to be completed by the end of 2023.

Destination themed islands are the best parts of this location featuring Main Europe, The Floating Venice, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and St. Petersburg. 4km off Dubai’s main coast, The Heart of Europe is a part of Nakheel’s master development, The World Islands (simply, The World) which is an archipelago of 300 islets. ST. PETERSBURG ISLAND

Referred to as Honeymoon Island for its unique heart-shaped map, St. Petersburg Island will be home to 131 Floating Seahorse Villas, some of which are already completed. A standard 2-bedroom villa for sale spans across 4,000 sq. ft. The island will also create a 200,000 sq. m. coral nursery. The price of Floating Seahorse Villas starts from AED 9.45M.

THE FLOATING VENICE

This project is basically the world’s first underwater vessel resort. With an aim to promote underwater tourism, this resort is split into four decks with one of them built below sea-level. Moreover, the island will have 414 luxurious cabin suites inspired by Venice’s architectural design.

The archipelago spans 6 million sq. ft. with a capacity to house 16,000 tourists at a time. Once completed, all the islets will be connected via bridges. Modes of transportation in The Heart of Europe, Dubai will be boats, seaplanes and helicopters. As the developer aims for a self-sustained and green community, traditional fuel vehicles will not be allowed on the islands. As of now, the restaurants in The Heart of Europe are those set up in the hotels. Whereas, others will be launched as soon as the project reaches completion. Portofino Hotel has restaurants and European cafes that serve classic Mediterranean cuisine. Similarly, Cote d’ Azur also features six Mediterranean-themed restaurants and beach cafes.
