Situated on the outskirts of Dubai lies the subcommunity of Hattan which is part of the greater district of The Lakes Dubai. The subcommunity is further divided into sub-areas which include Hattan 1, Hattan 2 and Hattan 3. Hattan is part of the greater community of The Lakes which often has various community events taking place throughout the year. During Christmas, there is a Christmas-themed event in which residents set up stalls and children participate in games themed on reindeer, face painting and photo sessions.
