Al Zaab Abu Dhabi is one of the most popular residential areas in the capital city. The community has a mix of villas and apartments and lies close to the heart of the city. It is strategically well connected to other parts of Abu Dhabi leading to hassle-free commutes. Every facility including educational and healthcare options are easily accessible.

The name of the community has a history behind it. The Al Zaab family migrated from the northern emirate to this area and called this place home for years. The area since then is associated with the Al Zaab family. In fact, it is known as Al Zaab Souq or Al Zaab Market as well.

Decades back, Al Zaab area was known best for its spacious villas but as time passed, the area saw a massive development in terms of residential towers. Now the area has high-rise buildings plus a mix of old and modern villas.

The area is close to many prime locations making it easier for residents to commute to work regularly. There is an assortment of properties for rent in Al Zaab Abu Dhabi. The residential towers showcase multiple apartment configurations from studio units to 2-bedroom flats. It also features 6-bedroom spacious villas.

Al Zaab area Abu Dhabi is best known for its villas. Some houses reflect traditional Emirati architectural styles while the newly constructed villas have modern facilities and contemporary exteriors. The houses have a vast variety in terms of the number of bedrooms. The configuration ranges from a 6-bedroom villa to a grand 11-bedroom mansion. All the villas have space for the driver’s room and maid’s room with a separate entrance. Other facilities include a storeroom, a laundry room, a small private yard and built-in wardrobes. The annual rent for villas in Al Zaab Abu Dhabi starts from AED 180k.

As for now, there are no apartments available for sale in Al Zaab area Abu Dhabi, but there are a few villas available for sale. The villas for sale in Zaab Abu Dhabi have 11 bedrooms. The sale price of the 11-bedroom villa is AED 7.5M. The price depends on the villa size, the finishings and amenities offered.

The area is not flooded with commercial shops or showrooms, so there are fewer paid parking slots in Al Zaab Abu Dhabi. Residents are not affected as residential buildings offer reserved parking. Villas have a built-in parking space for two vehicles or more, depending on the size of your villa.

Al Zaab area is tucked in the heart of Abu Dhabi making it easier for the residents to commute from the area. Hiring a taxi or a private car is the best option to reach the area. For people who prefer commuting through public buses, the nearest bus stop is on Al Falah Street, 10 minutes away.

Not every amenity is present within the vicinity but due to its prime location, nothing is too far from here. Residents can easily reach schools, supermarkets and healthcare centres in the neighbouring areas.

Among many supermarkets in Al Zaab Abu Dhabi, Choithrams and Fatima Supermarket are the closest. The nearest Spinneys supermarket is barely 9 minutes away in Al Khalidiyah. Seven Emirates Supermarket, Souq Planet and Abela Supermarket are all almost at an 8-minute drive from the area.

There are plenty of mosques in Al Zaab Abu Dhabi including Mosque of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan the First, Abdullah Bin Shaiban Mosque, Abdullah Saleh Mosque and the central Zaab Mosque.

Abu Dhabi will have a temple by the end of 2020, but as for now, there are none in the city. Residents will have to visit the temples in Dubai in the Bur Dubai area.

However, a few churches in Al Mushrif can be visited by the Christian community. Kings Church, Abu Dhabi International SDA Church, Abu Dhabi Apostolic Tamil Church, Philadelphia Church of God and Saint Anthony Cathedral for Coptic Church are closely located and are 11 to 15 minutes away from Zaab area Abu Dhabi.

It is easier for families with school-going children to settle in the area as there are multiple schools in Al Zaab Abu Dhabi. German International School is in the centre of the community, it follows the German curriculum and it offers classes from kindergarten to secondary level. Other schools that are a short 7-minute drive away are Ladybird Nursery, Abu Dhabi International Private School, Al Rayyan National Private School and Al Bateen Academy.

European International College in Al Rowdah and Khalifa University in Al Mushrif are among the top universities in Abu Dhabi.

There are quite a few hospitals and clinics near Al Zaab Abu Dhabi where residents can seek medical help. Nation Hospital is the nearest just across the Hazza Bin Zayed Street.

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City is a registered member of the SEHA Health System. It neighbours the community on the east. It is one of the top hospitals in Abu Dhabi with 586 beds, 14 speciality clinics and its own blood bank.

Other clinics within a 10-minute drive include London Consulting Medical Center Abu Dhabi, London Consulting Medical Center Abu Dhabi and Al Rowda Healthcare Center. The American Veterinary Centre is also close by in the Khalidiyah Village community.

Al Zaab area Abu Dhabi is close to well-populated areas in the heart of the capital city. Al Falah Street, Al Manaseer, Al Wahdah and Al Khalidiyah are well-known residential areas in Abu Dhabi that are neighbouring districts of Al Zaab area.

There are no malls within the vicinity but Abu Dhabi’s popular malls are near Al Zaab area, all thanks to its prime location. Khalidiyah Mall with its many retail shops and multiscreen cinema is just 2.5km away. The classic Hamdan Shopping Center which is a go-to place for bargain shoppers is barely at a 10-minute drive. Abu Dhabi Mall that has over 200 retail shops and many international food chains is 15 minutes away from the area.

Other than numerous restaurants and options inside the malls, there are a bunch of restaurants near Al Zaab. Asian restaurants such as Mahfil Hyderabad Restaurant and Peppermill Restaurant are 8 minutes away. Other nearby restaurants include Kuzbara, Nasar Restaurant, Off the Hook Seafood and Red Lobster.

There are a few hotels in the area with fine-dining restaurants and licensed options. Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi features the JW Steakhouse and Velocity Sports Bar. Other popular nightlife destinations include the Korean Prime Okryu Restaurant where you can try your hand at karaoke and Porters English Pub, both are located in the Grand Millenium Al Wahda Hotel.

One of the best beaches in Abu Dhabi, Corniche Beach is 7 minutes away, it is packed with multiple recreational options. Gate 1 of Corniche Beach is called Al Sahil Beach it is a public beach for singles only. Gate 2 and 3 are open to families and those with young children.

Al Manhal Palace is the closest landmark, it was once home to the ruling family of Abu Dhabi.

Qasr Al Hosn is a historic landmark built in the 1790s to safeguard the island settlements. This watchtower has turned into a museum and is open to the visitors. There are many cultural events organized in the museum daily. It features significant buildings such as the Al Hosn Palace, National Consultative Council, the Cultural Complex and House of Artisans. This magnificent watchtower is just 8 minutes from the Al Zaab area Abu Dhabi.

Zaab Park is a popular place for visitors and residents to relax. There are playgrounds as well. The famous Khalidiyah Park (renamed as Sheikh Fatima Park) is close by as well. This park spreads over 46,000 sq. meters and has dedicated paved walkways making up a 20-minute jogging track circuit.

Al Zaab Abu Dhabi has a local gym near Majilis Al Zaab. Further options that can be explored include one of the best gyms in Abu Dhabi, Gold’s Gym. It is fully equipped with contemporary TechnoGym equipment and with the assistance of gym’s cloud technology members can also monitor their progress. Smart Gym is also a good option for those looking to stay fit.

Ladies can head to Queens Palace Salon, Ricky’s Ladies Salon and Sun Rise Salon for a pampering session as all of them are under 10 minutes away. The Nail Spa is one of the top nail salons in Abu Dhabi. It offers different packages which include manicures, pedicures, a back and neck massage and complimentary cookies.

For men, Hair Lines Men Salon and Top Touch Men Salon are both less than 10 minutes away.

The community has held no events so far, but people who like to take part in family-oriented events can visit Corniche Beach 7 minutes away. Several events take place on the beach throughout the year.
