As Al Waha is located inland getting to a beach requires a minimum drive of 25 minutes. One of the best beaches near Al Waha is Jumeirah Beach. Offering a range of fun activities for kids and adventurous rides for adults, it is worth visiting. Jumeirah Beach also has a few casual eateries close by.

Other beaches near Al Waha include JBR Beach, Sunset Beach, Kite Beach and Al Sufouh Beach.

Global Village is a seasonal landmark that is usually open during the winter months of Dubai.

Al Waha is a mostly developed area consisting of large villas. It suits those expats who are looking for big houses at affordable prices than those offered in central Dubai. However, the community is on the outskirts of New Dubai that makes it seem far from many districts. Public transport is also inconvenient to use as the bus stops are far away. This should change in the future as the community matures.
