The abundance of villas and the serene environment makes Al Rawda popular among young couples and families alike. In fact, it is one of the most family-friendly areas in Ajman. Those with school going children enjoy the shorter commutes. Also, Al Rawda, Ajman is close to the major highways in the UAE making travelling to other emirates a breeze.
Al Rawda, Ajman features apartments and villas concentrated in three sub-districts. Mostly, Al Rawda apartments are offered for rent in affordable ranges. Whereas, independent villas are available for both, rent and sale. As per 2019 market trends for Ajman calculated at Bayut, Al Rawda makes for a top location for rental properties and freehold villas.
Since the area is close to many schools, it is often favoured by families with young school going children. Al Rawda is well connected to the rest of the emirate via an expansive network of roads. Also, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Street and Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Street provide easy access to other emirates.

Those residing in apartment buildings will find that there is one parking space allotted per flat, in the older buildings however parking is not included. Residents in those buildings and visitors will have to park in the dedicated paid parking lots or the paid street parking near the buildings.
There is only a limited public bus network for residents to use. There are two bus stops for the area, these are on the main road of Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Street and serve the communities of Al Rawda 1 and Al Rawda 2. The bus that runs through this area is AJ3 and it connects to central Ajman.
There are many supermarkets in Al Rawda, these are spread all over the community. You will find Al Madina Supermarket, Al Hor Supermarket, Al Aman Supermarket and many more in the area. There are also a few foodstuff tradings in Al Rawda 1, these are best for buying fresh spices and herbs in bulk. Popular options include Remah Foodstuff Trading, Hadarmoot Foodstuff Trading and Al Fawez Foodstuff.
There are no churches in Al Rawda but 8 minutes away in the Al Rashidiya district, residents will find the Winners Chapel International. Otherwise, Christian residents can head to the Yarmook district in Sharjah which is home to many churches. Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Orthodox Parish, Emirates Baptist Church and Grace Evangelical Church are a few of the churches located in the Yarmook district just 15 minutes away from Al Rawda.
Located 45 minutes away in the emirate of Dubai is the closest Hindu temple. This is the Shiva Temple located in Bur Dubai opposite Dubai Museum. As for mosques in Al Rawda, Muslim worshippers will not have to travel far. There are many mosques in the area such as Al Muhajireen Mosque, Mohammed Al Khaja Mosque, Zahra Mosque and Khalifa Saidi Mosque.
As Al Rawda is more of a residential area there are no schools located in its boundaries. You can find many options in the nearby Al Tallah community which are towards the south of Al Rawda.
Al Rawda is in proximity to many schools in Ajman. There is the Oxford School which offers the British curriculum from its foundation stage till the final Year 13. The International School of Choueifat Ajman follows the SABIS (UK/US) curriculum until Year 12. City School follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Indian curriculum until Year 8, while The First Academy follows the American curriculum. All of these are schools near Al Rawda, roughly 10 minutes away in the Al Tallah community.
City University College of Ajman is one of the emirate’s best higher education options. It is also located in Al Tallah and is favoured by those living in Al Rawda. Just 25 minutes away are the options in University City, Sharjah. Some of the best universities in the GCC region are located here, including the American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah and more.
Ajman Medical Centre, Family Medical Centre and Ratib Clinic are located in Al Rawda 3, while Hessa Medical Clinic and Abdul Aziz Medical Centre are located in the other Al Rawda communities. The area also has a few dental clinics such as Cosmetic Dental Clinic, Dr Jaleel Dental Centre and Ban Dental Clinic.
The nearest hospital is the Saudi German Hospital in the Al Tallah district. Ajman Speciality Hospital is further away in Ajman Industrial Area 1.
Al Tallah is one of the key areas close to Al Rawda, it has many amenities and facilities which the Al Rawda residents can enjoy. Al Mowaihat and Ajman Industrial are close to Al Rawda. Those looking to commute to Sharjah and Dubai can find it easy to do so as residents can easily access Al Ittihad Street (E11) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).
The two largest malls in Ajman are just 10 minutes away from Al Rawda. Galleria Mall is a modern two storey mall which houses over 90 different stores – mainly local fashion brands, a hypermarket and a kids’ play area. The City Centre Ajman is another mall near Al Rawda. It has a Magic Planet, Vox Cinemas, 79 international and local brands and Ajman’s largest Carrefour hypermarket.
You will find many different restaurants offering diffferent cuisines in Al Rawda. The area is home to a food street of sorts on Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Street which runs in between Al Rawda 2 and Al Rawda 3. Resident favourites in the area are Mabrook Popular Kitchen and Restaurant, Broccoli Pizza and Pasta, Golden Kunafa, Al Ayaam Grills & Restaurant and more.
Trendy eateries and cafes on this food street include Coffee 88 Degrees, 222 Burger, Cake Hut and Coffelo Healthy Cafe. Those looking for nightlife options will have to head to the establishments part of the hotels facing the Ajman Corniche. Popular options include the Zanzi Bar, Blazon Lounge and The Sport’s Bar, all located in the Ajman Hotel.
The beach is located 15 minutes away from Al Rawda. There is the Ajman Corniche Beach, there are a row of hotels located on the corniche many of which offer their own private beaches. The Ajman Corniche Beach near Al Rawda is famous for its serene vibes and beautiful view, not to mention there are many restaurants located there as well.
The beach is definitely one highlight in Ajman, there is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ajman on University Street. It is a grand mosque which is worth visiting. Another landmark located close to the Al Rawda community is the Ajman Dhow-Building Yard, visitors can view the ancient craft of dhow building with traditional tools. It is a highly entertaining and cultural activity for children and adults alike.
There is also the Al Tallah Camel Racecourse nearby, which is open to visitors. There are no set timings for the races but the racecourse hosts early morning and afternoon meets on weekends during the racing season (Oct-March).
There are no parks located in the area and residents will have to travel at least 20 minutes to visit one. Popular parks in Ajman include the Al Jurf Family Park, Al Safiya Park and Mushairef Ladies Park.
Gabbana Fitness Centre, Time Gym and Al Reem Gym are all located in Al Rawda. Residents looking to pamper themselves can head to Body and Mind Spa, Amber Beauty Salon and Mady Gents Salon, among others.
The area does not have any community events. For children, there are occasional events held in Galleria Mall and City Centre Ajman. There is one community event, in February the Al Tallah Camel Racecourse holds a Camel Festival. It features camel racing, heritage activities and a camel beauty pageant with participants from all over the world.
The area is located in a quiet district away from the business hub of the city. It is preferred for its close proximity to major highways, school and the Ajman – Sharjah border. There’s also a range of retail spaces and shops for rent in Al Rawda.
