Teddy Bear Nursery, established in 2008, is a renowned preschool in the UAE. It is a part of Liwa Education and enrols kids as young as 45 days. The nursery follows The Creative Curriculum, focusing on the whole-child approach and implementing the Early Intervention Program. It has three branches in Abu Dhabi (Al Mushrif, MBZ City and Al Shamkha) and a campus in Al Qattara, Al Ain.

Teddy Bear Nursery Al Ain and Teddy Bear Nurseries Abu Dhabi campuses feature designated dining spaces, sleeping areas and well-equipped classrooms filled with toys, books, pictures, puzzles and musical instruments. Each campus has spacious indoor soft play areas, shaded outdoor playing areas and gardening patches providing a sufficient learning environment. For infants, the specialised classrooms have soft cushioned activity areas, separate feeding areas, cribs and baby chairs.

Teddy Bear Nurseries have earned the prestigious Cognia accreditation for their efforts to enhance the quality of education and an 'Outstanding' rating during the ECE Compliance Inspection by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). The nursery has a School Readiness Program, which has successfully prepared kids for a smooth transition to leading schools.

Furthermore, Teddy Bear Nurseries has earned the Safe Childcare Certificate after an audit by Boecker and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health – UK, reaffirming their commitment to children's health and safety.

Teddy Bear Nursery follows The Creative Curriculum, a research-based framework that fosters confidence, creativity and critical thinking by setting development goals and individualising learning experiences for each child. This is combined with the whole-child approach, which nurtures every aspect of a child's growth—social, emotional, cognitive and academic—preparing them for a smooth transition from preschool to kindergarten. 

The nursery also offers an engaging Arabic language program for Teddy 3 and Teddy 4 classes, introducing Arabic through songs and games and uses a dedicated Heritage Room to teach older children about Arabic, Islamic traditions and cultural celebrations.

Parents can choose the number of days and their desired time slots at the time of admission:

• 3 days per week, 08:00 a.m. – 02:00 p.m.
• 5 days per week, 08:00 a.m. – 02:00 p.m.
• Early drop-off is available from 07:00 a.m.
• Extended day option 02:00 p.m. – 05:00 p.m.

These documents must be submitted for admission along with a registration form and a non-refundable registration fee of AED 1,500:

• Three passport-size photographs
• Photocopy of parents and child’s passport (Residence Visa)
• Photocopy of child's birth certificate
• Photocopy of child's vaccination card
• ADDC premises ID
• Parents and child's original Emirates ID at the time of registration

At Teddy Bear Nursery, kids enjoy indoor and outdoor extracurricular activities, including music, dramatic play and block-building. These activities spark creativity, enhance social skills and promote problem-solving. Additionally, the following extracurricular activities are structured in a program format:

• Teddy’s Expressive Arts Program
• SmartTeddy STEM Program

Meddy Teddy yoga promotes mindfulness, helping children connect with their bodies and develop healthy habits. The Expressive Arts Program fosters creativity and fine motor skills through arts and play. The SmartTeddy STEM Program introduces children to technology, coding and problem-solving, preparing them for a future in a digital world.

All critical areas in Teddy Bear Nursery have fire alarms and CCTV monitoring. The teaching staff is trained in paediatric first-aid. A full-time, on-site nurse and visiting doctor are available for medical inquiries.

The nursery welcomes parents to reach out via phone or email to discuss their child's progress anytime. The nursery encourages active participation, inviting parents to share special moments, join classroom activities and celebrate key events such as the annual Teddy Bear Picnic, UAE National Day and Book Week. Furthermore, parents get regular updates on events, achievements and children’s well-being through the parent communication app as well as get access to personal profiles with photos, updates and messages about their learning journey.
