Sharjah British School is a K-12 school. All classes are divided into five sections:

Sharjah British International School Curriculum

As the name suggests, Sharjah British School follows the British National Curriculum integrated with the Cambridge International curriculum.

The co-educational approach is applied in the Primary section for Grade 1 – Grade 4. By the end of Grade 6, students take CIE checkpoint exams.

Beyond Grade 5, students are divided into separate boys and girls section. Those who finish Grade 8 have to choose subjects for IGCSE.

Grade 9 to Grade 11 students appear for IGCSE examinations. They can choose their subjects from the following three options:

Grade 12 students appear for GCE AS level examinations. They have to choose four subjects. In Grade 12 and Grade 13, these AS/A level subjects are offered to SBIS students:

Physics, Biology, Chemistry
Economics, Accounting, Business Studies

All IGCSE students have to take three compulsory subjects and choose from the list of additional subjects. Furthermore, they have to take Arabic and Islamic Studies exams following the Ministry of Education rule.

Admission and Fees

How to apply to Sharjah British International School?

Sharjah British International School has a simple and easy to follow admission process. Basically, there are three easy steps for enrolment.

Step 1: Parents are requested to apply online from the official website for registration.
Step 2: On successful registration, parents will receive a reference number by text on the given contact number.
Step 3: The school will make further contact upon availability of seat. Then, parents can fill and submit the admission form with the required documents. The form is available at the school’s main office. You can also download the form from the official website.

Parents should correctly fill the admission form and submit it to the school registrar with the registration fee of AED 500. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
