School of Research Science (SRS) was founded in 2003 to offer high-quality education to Emiratis. Since then, the school has gained popularity and now has one-third of non-Emirati students. Junior and senior sections are the oldest establishments on the campus that houses high-end facilities. In Early years (FS1 and FS2), the school follows the Early years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework of education. It is a popular childhood education model that uses informal learning strategies, such as play and fun activities, to build foundational skills.
Afterwards, the school follows the National Curriculum of the UK, which is based on five key stages. The school offers a wide variety of healthy and nutritional food items to its students. The school has a canteen near the reception area, which is accessible by students of years 1 onwards. The school doctor and nurses regularly inspect the café’s menu to ensure healthy intake by students.
The school follows a cashless payment policy within the campus for students of year 4 and above. For this purpose, the school issues a swap card to students. They can credit the money to their card at the designated area on the campus.
Since the cafeteria is inaccessible to the foundation stage students, they are allowed to bring home-packed snacks and lunches. The school does not allow potato chips, nuts or nuts-related products, sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks within their premises.
Parents who cannot drop off or pick up their children because of work commitments or other reasons should not worry as SRS offers school bus service to its pupils. The bus covers most of the areas in Dubai, such as Silicon Oasis, Arabian Ranches, Falcon City, The Villa and Motor City. They also shuttle through the emirates of Sharjah.
For convenience, the school has allotted designated pickup and drop-off points, where children along with their parents can wait for the school bus. It is better to reach the departure point before time to avoid any issue.
To ensure the safety of children, students need to follow the school bus transportation policy. This requires the student to always wear seatbelts, do not listen to music on the bus, do not eat or drink on the bus, behave in a sensible and respectful behaviour and place bags and other items safely.

School of Research Science has exceptional sports facilities. This includes spacious Physical Education (PE) halls with marked lines to support various indoor games.
The school also has an expansive gymnasium with a plethora of fitness opportunities. The wall climbing setup is one of the noteworthy features of the school’s gymnasium. Safety belts and other safety equipment are also available to provide a safe playing environment for students. The campus also has a large-sized swimming pool in both boys and girls sections. These indoor halls are also equipped with changing rooms. Other sports facilities in the SRS include an outdoor pitch for soccer. The annual sports competition held each year provides an opportunity for students to showcase their athletic skills. They participate in a wide range of sports such as soccer, running and gymnastics.
SRS emphasises strongly on extra-curricular activities for the personal and social development of children. Their extended programme accommodates all the extra-curricular activities held in the school. One of the key initiatives by SRS is the Learning without Boundary (LWB) programme. It aims to expand the scope of the curriculum by challenging children to unique and engaging extracurricular activities.
It includes a plethora of activities including sports programmes, camping activities, volunteering, field trips and overseas expeditions. The major projects undertaken by the school are charity work, volunteering as prefect and monitors and environmental projects.
