Established in September 1990, School of Knowledge is a primary school in Sharjah offering classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The co-educational facility follows the UK National Curriculum for England and Wales and has 1,800 students and 110 teachers.
In 2012, the school was taken over by St. Mary’s Group of Schools – an organisation owned by the Catholic Church. All facilities owned by St. Mary’s Group of Schools are known for providing quality yet affordable education.
Al Ghafia, Sharjah, located between Al Azra and Al Sabkha, offers spacious villas. This family-friendly community is close to the Sharjah-Ajman border and has a well-connected transport system. Al Nuaimiya, also tucked close to the Sharjah-Ajman border, is home to some most sought-after properties in Ajman, including a mix of commercial and residential properties. School of Knowledge relocated to a new, modern campus in 2005. The two-storey building has premium facilities, including classrooms, a library, an indoor multi-purpose sports hall and a swimming pool. Students of Grade 4 to Grade 6 can use the safe and hygienic pool.
The school library, on the other hand, has a reference and study section. Junior classes have their own class libraries, and all students get a weekly library period. Computer and Science Laboratories at the School of Knowledge Sharjah are well-equipped with the latest gadgets and equipment.
The SEN department at SOK has a counsellor and an SEN educator responsible for working with class teachers to support students with special education needs.
Parents are asked to go through their child’s school diary every day. They should also sign the diary and write their remarks regularly.

English teachers strive to promote high language and literacy standards and ensure that children have a strong command of the spoken and written language. Teachers pay attention to developing speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in students.

The School of Knowledge admission process starts with online registration. Interested parents should submit the online application form available on the school’s website as quickly as possible as only limited seats are available. After submitting the application form, the applicant needs to clear the entrance exam in basic subjects such as Mathematics, Science and English. The selection for admission depends on the entrance exam result and the decision of school management.
