Riverwood Nursery

Riverwood Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for children aged 45 days to 4 years. It was established in 2015 in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi. The nursery's philosophy revolves around delivering high-quality education to children. Its campus is also well-equipped and has resources to support the all-rounded development of kids.

At Riverwood Nursery, the campus is tailored to pique children's interests with vibrant colours in the classrooms and activity areas, stimulating curiosity and engagement. Additionally, children can explore a variety of exciting props and tools including an age-appropriate library with many books. The outdoor play area features child-safe swings and teachers carefully supervise all playtime.

Riverwood Nursery is based on Al Sawari Street in Zone 18, Mohammed Bin Zayed City. The nearest landmark is Bareen International Hospital, located across the street from the nursery.

Riverwood Nursery follows the British EYFS curriculum. The EYFS curriculum covers seven areas of learning which are:

Playtime is a vital part of Riverwood Nursery curriculum and important for kids' all-round development.

Parents must apply for admission by filling out the registration form, submitting mandatory documents and paying a non-refundable registration fee. Documents required to complete the admission process at Riverwood Nursery are mentioned here:

• Eight recent passport-sized photographs of child
• Two copies of the child’s passport with a UAE visa
• The Emirates ID card of the child
• Two copies of the child’s birth certificate
• Two copies of the father’s passport and visa
• Two copies of the mother’s passport and visa registration
• Two copies of the child’s vaccination card
• Two copies of the child’s medical record
• Non-refundable fee

Riverwood Nursery Abu Dhabi fee can be paid through cash or cheque before the beginning of each term. The tuition fee is payable in advance and is non-transferable and non-refundable. The late fee is AED 25 per hour and has a grace period of one week only.

Children are introduced to various activities at Riverwood Nursery including listening to stories, swimming, creating arts and crafts, playing telematics and practising jolly phonics. These events and activities are organised to promote enjoyable and interactive learning experiences. Furthermore, Riverwood celebrates several notable events throughout the year to enhance your child's learning journey.

The school is usually operational from 08:00 am. to 02:00 pm. Parents can opt for early drop off at 06:45 am. for an early bird fee of AED 25 per hour and free early drop off from 07:30 am. 

After-school and childcare options are available from 02:00 p.m. to 06:00 p.m., charged at AED 25 per hour. The daily schedule is available on the nursery website.

Riverwood does its best to promote a healthy and safe culture within the nursery. It implements proper safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for both children and staff. 

• This includes making safety arrangements and taking steps to avoid any potential health risks.
• Regular checks are conducted to identify structural defects, worn fixtures or faulty electrical equipment.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises.
• Safety plugs protect all electrical sockets and no wires are left out.
• To prevent triggering allergies, food items such as peanuts are avoided.
• Staff is familiar with the location of first-aid boxes and children are supervised at all times to ensure they remain safe.

Children are encouraged to wash their hands after using the toilet and before eating. They are supervised while washing their hands to ensure cleanliness. The nappy changing facility is cleaned after every use. 

Parents are requested to pack healthy snacks and lunches for their children. They have to avoid sweets, cakes, crisps and chocolates. Children are encouraged to self-feed under staff assistance.

Parents are welcome to view the CCTV footage in the office as part of its commitment to transparency. Riverwood maintains regular contact with parents through open days, parents' evenings and forums. It also keeps parents informed about all activities and events through social media and is always prompt in addressing any complaints they may have. 

Parents can contact the manager in writing in case of unresolved issues and expect a response within three to five working days. Any concerns or complaints can be raised with the principal/manager via email or phone.
