Established in 2013, Repton School Abu Dhabi is a British curriculum school offering world-class education. The school is built on the rich 450-year educational heritage of its parent school in the UK – the Repton Derbyshire.
A sister-school of Repton School Dubai, Repton Abu Dhabi is considered to be one of the best schools in Abu Dhabi. It has been awarded the highly coveted ‘Very Good’ rating by the Department of Education and Knowledge, Abu Dhabi (ADEK). The curriculum is a combination of the National Curriculum of England as well as the subjects mandated by the Ministry of Education of UAE. It is also considered one of the best British schools in Abu Dhabi.

Repton Abu Dhabi is a coeducational all-through school located in Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. The school draws from the successful history of its parent school Repton Derbyshire in the United Kingdom and its sister school Repton Dubai in the UAE.
The school was rated Very Good by the Department of Education and Knowledge, Abu Dhabi. Repton’s commendable focus on each student’s personal development awarded them this rating. The curriculum followed at the school combines rigorous academia with a wide array of extracurricular activities so as to bring about positive, all-rounded development in the students.
Repton Abu Dhabi was awarded the Apple Distinguished School award for its educational excellence and was nominated for the title of Best School for an Outstanding Application of Technology. Students are equipped with their own iPad from the ages of 3, as the school aims to integrate innovation and efficiency into learning through the purposeful use of digital literacy. Repton School Reem Island is an all-inclusive school that offers special provisions for Students of Determination. Repton Abu Dhabi delivers the National Curriculum for England from Nursery to Year 13. Foundation Stage 1 and 2 students are taught the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This is followed by the Primary Stage Education, then Secondary Stage Education. The school also offers an expansive range of extracurricular activities that complements the UK curriculum taught by the school.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is a government entity that is responsible for licensing all private education institutes and monitoring their commitment to providing high-quality service in accordance with regulations. They carry out periodic evaluations of all schools and are based on six basic criteria as listed below:

Repton School Abu Dhabi received a Very Good overall performance rating in the ADEK inspection conducted for the year 2021-2022 for Fry campus and Outstanding for Rose campus.
Fry campus received a Very Good rating in 3 out of 6 performance rating standards set by ADEK, including Students’ Achievement, Teaching and Assessment and Leadership and Management. The school bagged an Outstanding rating for Pastoral Care, i.e the protection, care, guidance and support of students. Rose campus bagged an Outstanding rating for Quality of students’ achievement, Quality of teaching and assessment, Quality of student safety and wellbeing, as well as the guidance and support provided to them, Quality of school leadership and management.
According to ADEK, Repton Abu Dhabi students’ achievement in Islamic, Arabic and Social Studies education is not on par with the high standards exhibited in all other subjects. The school has the potential to improve in this area once the curriculum planning in Arabic-taught subjects and social studies are improved upon.

Repton Abu Dhabi School acknowledges the importance of choosing the right school for a child. For this reason, the school encourages a visit to the campus so that prospective parents can learn more about the resources and amenities available on-campus. Repton Abu Dhabi organises Open Mornings every term. Parents can also schedule school tours during the weekdays according to their availability.

Visit the school by booking an appointment with the admissions office. The school conducts tours on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 09:30 am.
During Covid-19, Repton School is able to offer in-person campus tours at the end of the school day or virtual tours. These tours are led by a member of the admissions team who will show you facilities whilst giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. To book please speak to a member of the admissions teams. Unfortunately, at this time, the school is unable to accommodate walk in tours.
Parents have to submit a completed application form along with a copy of the child’s passport and a copy of their latest school report card. The report card should clearly state which year group they are currently enrolled in. The child will officially be registered once the school receives the completed registration form. The school will then contact the parents to schedule an assessment for the student.
The school conducts age-appropriate assessments so as to get to know the child better. The assessment process focuses on the child’s social competence, maturity and behaviour. For the Foundation Stage, the assessment will be play-based. For Year 1 and up, assessments will be more formal and will focus on Reading, Mathematics and English subjects. For international applications, the school will organise remote assessments. The admissions office will contact the parents regarding their decision within three working days.
During COVID 19, the school is no longer conducting face to face assessments and assessments will be conducted based on previous school reports and pastoral references. Further references, online interviews or observations may be required.

Repton School Abu Dhabi’s fees are paid in three instalments over the course of Autumn, Spring and Summer Term. The first instalment is due on the first of August, the second instalment on the second of December and the third on the second of March. Fee structure for the current academic year is as follows:

The Registration Fee is 5% of the total tuition fee and will be deducted from the first term tuition fees. Also, Repton Abu Dhabi charges AED 750 for books from FS 1 to Year 1.
Repton Abu Dhabi awards scholarships to both internal and external candidates from Year 5 to Year 11. Scholarships are awarded to students who exhibit high standards of performance in academia, music, sports or innovative activities. Students that receive scholarships are expected to maintain the standards of excellence that awarded them the scholarship.

To apply for scholarships at Repton Abu Dhabi, candidates must provide evidence of their academic, musical, sporting or innovation ability. Parents must send an email to admissions@reptonabudhabi.org with the completed application forms. Students may also be invited to the school for an interview so as to demonstrate their ability.
For academic scholarships, students must produce awards and certificates they have received, GL assessment scores, CAT 4 scores and recent school reports. For Year 12 scholarships, only Year 11 students that excel at their IGCSEs will be considered for the scholarship.
The Repton School Abu Dhabi Reem Island contracts a third-party catering company called Food Nation to serve lunch for the students. There is a set menu in place. Both Rose and Fry campus students can avail the services offered by Food Nation to fulfil their lunch and snack needs. Parents can sign their children up for daily, weekly, monthly or yearly lunch schemes and have to complete payment for the service beforehand.
The school cafeteria is located on the Fry campus. Students in the Rose campus have their meals delivered to them whereas Rose campus students can consume their lunch from the school cafeteria. A cafe exclusive to staff members also exists on the campus.
Repton Abu Dhabi has outsourced its transportation services to a third party company based in the emirate. The well-maintained fleet of buses ensure the safe pick-up and drop-off of students and have routes all over Abu Dhabi.
Repton Abu Dhabi has a strong Outdoor Adventure Programme that compliments the extracurricular activities organised by the school. Senior school students have the opportunity to participate in international trips organised in partnership with the Repton School of UK.
Outdoor adventures are vital in developing life skills such as leadership, teamwork, confidence, grit and determination. These characteristics prepare students for life beyond academia. Students procure valuable expertise through these camps and trips.
Repton Abu Dhabi encourages students to maintain physical fitness and health, especially within the school. Students can make use of the school’s advanced facilities to participate in sports and other physical activities such as football, basketball, tennis, swimming and more. Repton Abu Dhabi imparts equal importance to both scholastic and co-scholastic achievements of the students. At Repton, learning extends beyond the classroom. This includes after-school clubs, activities and events held at the school. Extracurricular activities are orchestrated by Repton teachers as well as a third-party company named Gulf Star Sports and include classes in Capoeira, Ballet, High Order Thinking Skills, Art, Gymnastics, Golf, Origami, Chess and Football.

Repton Abu Dhabi is also a part of the Abu Dhabi International School Sports Association (ADISSA), through which Repton students participate in various inter-school sports competitions.
As part of the Beyond the Classroom learning experience, Repton Abu Dhabi conducts a range of excursions and local trips for the students. The school organises at least one excursion per term for every year group. Students visit spots of historical and cultural significance, UAE heritage locations, theatre shows, science and robotics exhibitions and more.
Repton Abu Dhabi offers both before and after school care for the students. Morning Care timings begin one hour prior to school hours for both Rose and Fry campus students. Parents can drop the students off early at the school, after which they will be under the care and supervision of the teachers.
After-school care takes place for one hour after the school day is over, three days a week. Students engage in various after-school clubs and activities during this time.
The school has three medical clinics on the premises– one in the Rose campus and two in the Fry campus. The clinics are well-equipped and employ the use of trained professionals to tend to the medical needs of the students.
The school nurses are an integral part of the Pastoral Care team of Repton School Abu Dhabi. They monitor each and every child’s BMI and coordinate with the PE and Swimming Department involved so as to ensure every student remains healthy and physically fit.
