Raffles Early Childhood Centre in Dubai is renowned for its exceptional educational program. The nursery's curriculum prioritises fun and play-based activities to encourage children's learning. All Raffles ECC locations follow the EYFS education framework to prepare students for schools with varying curricula. The nursery's approach is child-led, with teachers as supervisors and guides.
In addition to academics, the centre emphasises the importance of developing modern-day skills useful for school life. That's why extracurricular activities are introduced to children at a young age.
As one of the best nursery chains in Dubai, Raffles Early Childhood Centre backs educational and enrichment activities with its top-notch facilities. The campuses are well-resourced and equipped with a plethora of resources. The branches have learning areas, sensory areas and outdoor and indoor playing areas to keep children busy and active.
Raffles Nursery Dubai accepts children aged 45 days to 4 years. The nursery has mixed-age classrooms to optimise children's learning and opportunities to socialise. The age groups at Raffles Nursery include:
Phases | Ages Covered |
---|---|
Babies | 45 days to 1 year old |
Toddlers | 1 year to 2 years old |
Preschoolers | 2 years to 3 years old |
Foundation Stage | 3 years to 4 years old |
Raffles Early Childhood Centre uses two different curricula to meet the needs of children. The educational programme at Raffles Nursery is an amalgamation of the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the Montessori approach. Both educational pedagogies are accepted and adopted by preschools and nurseries around the world. The nursery benefits from the fusion of these two curricula by offering practical and hands-on experiences.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework focuses on children’s learning and development through its key areas of learning:
Personal, Emotional and Social Development | Communication, Language and Literacy |
Mathematical Development | Understanding the World |
Physical Development | Expressive Arts and Design |
On the other hand, the nursery uses the following aspects of the Montessori approach to offer a unique educational experience to children:
This aspect of the Montessori approach allows children to experience real-life situations and practical solutions to real-life problems.
The nursery uses different forms of sensory materials to train children’s senses. The materials used in this approach refine children’s sense of hearing, sight, taste, touch and smell.
This aspect of the Montessori approach supports the EYFS learning area of communication, language and literacy by expanding children's vocabulary to help in writing and reading.
This branch deals with quantities, numbers and basic mathematical operations. The concepts are delivered in a concrete and hands-on way.
As the name suggests, creative development allows children to be creative and imaginative. The nursery encourages children to explore and share their ideas and views via art, music, movement, dance and role play.
This crucial element of the Montessori approach helps children to develop social skills and a positive sense of themselves. As a result, children are self-confident and ready to tackle whatever academic challenges are thrown their way.
Children have free access to various academic resources to support both curricula. For more information, read the curriculum overview of Raffles Early Childhood Centre.

The health and safety of children and staff is a priority for Raffles ECC. Raffles Early Childhood Centre, Dubai Marina, like other branches, has an on-site clinic that a DHA-licensed nurse manages. The nurse is responsible for medical attention, first aid and maintaining medical and immunisation records. A visiting doctor is also available that performs medical examinations every week. The nursery also has an infection control policy to control or minimise the spread of infectious viruses. The cleaning crew keeps the campus clean and litter free.
The campuses are highly secured as the entire campus has boundary walls and CCTV cameras installed throughout the campus.
Raffles Early Childhood Centre (Raffles ECC) values the partnership with parents in their children's education. Effective communication is highly prioritised, and the branches offer various channels for two-way communication.
Parents can expect to receive newsletters, attend parent-teacher meetings, and receive written reports. Twice a year, the nursery holds parent-teacher meetings where parents and teachers can discuss the progress made by the children. The nursery monitors and records the children's progress throughout the year and delivers updates to parents orally or in writing.
Additionally, parents have many opportunities to participate in their children's learning and contribute to making the nursery a better educational environment. To provide convenient access, Raffles ECC's official website details information on its educational program, campus facilities, activities and admission process. They also have a social media presence on popular sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Parents and teachers can also communicate with each other safely and easily through WhatsApp groups designated by the nursery, which include parents and teachers of children in the same age group.
