Nibras International School (NIS), also known as Al Nibras International School, was founded in 2005. The school is located in Green Community, a popular gated development in Dubai Investment Park. International Schools Partnership recently took over to improve the school facilities and curriculum.
Al Nibras Private International School follows the American curriculum from KG 1 until Grade 12. The curriculum is aligned with the State of Colorado’s standards. The school is internationally accredited with NEASC.
Currently, there are around 1352, students, out of which 101 are students of determination. There are 93 teachers and 29 teaching assistants. The teacher to student ratio is 1:14. You will find a guidance counsellor as well. Students belong to 80 different countries, but most are from Egypt and Lebanon.

Nibras International School campus is located just off the main entrance of Dubai Investment Park. The campus is quite large, surrounded by grass playing fields and other outdoor facilities. The building is E-shaped and has spacious classrooms along with quality indoor facilities.

Nibras International School, Dubai Investment Park houses one of Dubai’s best Information and Communications Technology (ICT) facilities. You will find two computer laboratories with internet and multimedia facilities, 3D printing equipment, two 65-inch interactive screens, 120 Chromebooks and 120 iPads for classroom use. Electronic keyboards and Sibelius (score creation software) allow students to compose and record music and blue bots – remote controlled programmable characters for KG.

NIS, Dubai is an American school and follows the American Education Reaches Out (AERO) Common Core Plus program. Besides this, Al Nibras School has integrated the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for children aged 5 to 11 years.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a government body that inspects private schools in Dubai. The organisation ensures that all private schools are working towards the larger goal of improving the overall performance of the school. Various parameters that are inspected by the KHDA include curriculum, school facilities, inclusion, health and safety of students, senior leadership and school management.

If you are applying for KG to Grade 1, your child will have to sit for an in-school assessments. Alternatively, Nibras can administer online assessments where they schedule an online meeting with your child. This will be conducted by the admissions team along with one of the teachers, SENCO or the Senior Leadership team when necessary.
Please note that the admissions fee is AED 500.
Once you receive an offer, you have 7 days to complete registration and to pay the registration fee to secure your place. The registration fee is AED 2,300 which is deductible from the first term’s school fees.
