Kid's Island Nursery

Kid's Island Nursery opened in 1991 to educate children while enabling them to cherish nature. The nursery offers an eco-conscious British Curriculum woven with The Inspire Philosophy to create a unique learning pathway that inspires a sense of wonder. The Inspire Philosophy makes learning fun for inquiring minds through which they learn and interact with their surroundings.

Kid's Island Nursery's academic calendar runs from September until late June/early July.

Kid’s Island Nursery and Preschool is established in a villa in Jumeirah. The villa's inside is designed so that the natural elements, open-ended resources, and loose parts enhance the indoor learning environment and ignite the children’s imagination. Resources and materials are carefully positioned to provide an attractive yet practical play space to spark a deeper level of interaction and engagement.

The outside of the villa is set in a way that encourages and provokes children to engage in physical pursuits such as jumping, running, carrying, pouring, sorting, throwing balls and balancing. In addition, loose parts and natural elements such as soil, leaves, seed pods and homegrown vegetables are merged into the environment to enhance the learning experiences.

Kids Islands in Dubai facilities are divided into two parts. The first part, called Indoor Explorer, include creative studio, gym room, role play area and sensory studio. The other part, called the Outdoor Detectives. include a mud kitchen, discovery deck, nature’s kitchen, learning terrace, marhaba garden and nature zone. This part allow little ones to push their physical boundaries and lead to adventurous play.

The nursery arranges various extra-curricular activities beyond the regular timings to make the curriculum fun and exciting. Parents are also offered to join little ones in these activities:

• Sportzcise Soccer
• Arabic and French classes

The school offers additional languages. Also, note that since these activities are provided outside nursery hours and are different from regular activities conducted on campus, you will have to make additional payments.

Safety and security are never compromised at Kid's Island Nursery Jumeirah 3. Stringent safety policies and procedures govern all areas of nursery life, from authorised collection of children, maintenance of fixtures and equipment and fire drills to general safety.

• Main entrances have security and safety gates, and parents are given a private access code to enter the facility.
• Fire extinguishers are mounted at critical points all over the campus.
• As part of the annual training, the staff undergo a rigorous paediatric first aid course recognised by the Government of Dubai.
• A licensed nurse runs a fully-equipped medical facility.
• There’s a strict nut-free policy in action at the nursery.

Suppose a parent or caregiver has not collected their child from the school at pick-up time, and no prior contact has been made with the nursery to inform them of alternative arrangements. In that case, the nursery will make every attempt to contact parents. There is also a Late Class option for parents that allows them flexibility and peace of mind. Please note that there is an additional fee for this service.

Besides these policies, Kid's Island Nursery Jumeirah 3 Dubai advocates and reinforces healthy eating habits in children. Hence, children receive a practical, transparent snack bag with a specially divided BPA-free box. Little ones are encouraged to identify, unpack, zip up and pack their snack bags in the classroom as part of their snack time routine.
