Kent Nursery

Founded in 2020, Kent Nursery is a British Curriculum nursery in Dubai, offering care and education for children aged 45 days to 48 months. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Kent Nursery provides a nurturing environment that supports each child's unique development. Located in Nad Al Sheba, the purpose-built facility adheres to KHDA guidelines and ensures a seamless transition to Kent College Dubai for FS school-age children.

Kent Nursery's Nad Al Sheba campus offers spacious classrooms that promote social interaction and creativity. Specialised areas within the nursery cater to the diverse needs of children, enhancing their learning experience.

The outdoor area connects with indoor learning, allowing children to explore while developing physical, imaginative and problem-solving skills, all in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles.

Additional facilities include a communication and language room for storytelling and language activities, as well as a multi-purpose room for physical activities, music and performances, supporting children's physical and creative growth.

Kent Nursery, Nad Al Sheba 2, Dubai, offers a well-rounded education through a structured program that follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and incorporates elements from Montessori, the Curiosity Approach, Hygge and Forest Schools. This enriched curriculum ensures that your child’s learning experience goes beyond the traditional classroom. Moreover, The partnership with Kent College Dubai, a leading British school with over 135 years of legacy from Kent College Canterbury, provides seamless transition opportunities for children as they progress in their education.

In addition to the EYFS, the nursery’s enhanced curriculum includes a focus on creativity and personal growth. Music plays a central role in the Singing for Learning Programme, where children develop language skills through engaging songs. Arabic Foundations are introduced through playful activities, songs and dance, making language learning enjoyable. The Performing Arts Program combines music, drama and dance to build confidence, imagination and physical skills. Together, these programs create a rich and diverse learning environment that supports holistic development.

Kent Nursery curriculum is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to deliver a well-rounded and thorough educational experience. In addition to the EYFS framework, the nursery incorporates elements from established educational methods such as Montessori, the Curiosity Approach, Hygge and Forest Schools.

The British curriculum is structured into seven areas of learning including three prime and four specific areas. 

The prime areas that children develop naturally are:

• Personal, social and emotional development
• Communication and language
• Physical development

Specific areas include:

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding of the world
• Expressive art and design

This diverse blend of teaching styles ensures a balanced learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, think critically and solve problems. The approach supports their ability to express themselves and take an active role in their learning process.

Parents can contact the admission team by sending an email or calling the nursery. They can complete the online application form and submit it with the following fees:

• Non-refundable AED 1,000 registration fee
• Non-refundable AED 500 annual medical fee
• AED 1,000 refundable rolling deposit

Documents required for admission are:

• Copies of the last nursery report in English
• A copy of the child’s passport
• Birth certificate (in English or Arabic)
• Copy of the child’s Emirates ID and residence visa
• Copies of parents' or guardians' passports, residence visas and Emirates ID
• Copies of relevant medical reports, learning support reports or educational psychologist assessments if applicable

Kent Nursery's fee structure given on the website is for children aged between 12 months to 48 months. 

For the age group 12 months to 35 months:

A Wrap Around Care program from 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm is also available for kids in the age group 36 to 48 months. The fees ranged from AED 695 to AED 1,585 depending upon the term dates and number of days in a week. 

Furthermore, the Breakfast Club is also on offer to facilitate working parents. Last from 07:30 am to 08:00 am, the nursery charges AED 480 to AED 1400 again depending upon the term and number of days per week.

Kent Nursery offers a wide range of extracurricular activities designed to support the holistic development of young children. The nursery's purpose-built campus includes spacious indoor and outdoor areas that allow for a variety of activities. Multi-purpose rooms are used for musical activities and other physical activities.

In addition to these general activities, Kent Nursery offers an enhanced curriculum that includes special programs such as the Singing for Learning initiative. This program uses music to support language acquisition, with dedicated Music and Arabic teachers working together to teach vocabulary and phrases through engaging songs. 

Additionally, Kent Nursery’s Performing Arts program allows children to explore music, drama and dance. Early exposure to the arts encourages creativity and self-expression, while drama classes help children immerse themselves in imaginative play. Dance activities also enhance motor skills and physical awareness, creating a well-rounded environment.

The core curriculum is taught from 08:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. while the afternoon club is operational till 04:00 p.m. Students can attend the nursery 2, 3 or 5 days per week. More details regarding academic terms and dates are available on the official website.

Kent Nursery, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, adheres to the DHA and KHDA health guidelines. The fully equipped medical centre has a DHA registered nurse.

Parents are able to directly communicate with both the teachers and nursery manager, as well as schedule appointments for meetings using a contact form online.
