An air-conditioned, multi-purpose sports hall serves as the main indoor teaching space for physical education, complemented by a 25-meter, temperature-controlled outdoor pool with a poolside and underwater music system. The academic year at JC starts in the last week of August with induction sessions and the first lecture. Mid-term holidays for the first term is expected in the third week of October. The term ends in the second week of December.

All the students applying to Jumeirah are required to sit through a cognitive ability test (CAT). School reports are collected from the student’s current alma mater to gauge their academic ability. The CAT consists of Non-Verbal, Verbal, Spatial and Quantitative reasoning questions. Students may take 2 hours to complete the test.
For demonstrating excellence, applications are supported with the student’s abilities in Sport, Drama, Music and the Arts, as well as potential in global citizenship, leadership and innovation. There are two phases used for conducting admissions to JC: Phase one is for students in priority groups A and B.

When applying for admission to JC, external students are required to refer to the sixth form prospectus available at the school’s website. The minimum grades required to attain entry to A levels are:
Two C (Level 5/4) and Four B (level 6) grades at GCSE. Two of them are required to be Mathematics and English Language. To study any subject at A level, students are expected to gain at least a grade B (level 6) in a particular subject at GCSE. However, some subjects do have additional requirements. To apply for JC, it is essential to complete the online application form through the school’s website. Applications are only accepted if they have been accompanied by a non-transferable and non-refundable registration fee of AED 500. When applying to JC, admissions can be made anytime by the means of the school registrar. However, during the year, there are cut-off dates that have been designated by the Ministry of Education.

Jumeirah College offers a healthy and nutritional snack and lunch option to its students through catering services. The campus has a visually appealing centrally air-conditioned cafeteria where students can enjoy either homemade snacks or lunch from the canteen in a laid-back environment. The indoor canteen is surrounded by shaded courtyards with cafe style tables providing students with a good relaxing ambience beside the poolside setting.
JC has employed School Transport Services LLC (STS) for providing transport services to the students. STS owns a large number of buses for providing services and ensures safety standards by following rules and regulations specified by the Dubai Road & Transportation Authority. The buses are fully equipped with scanners for confirmation of students’ attendance, a Video Surveillance System and GPS (Global Positioning System) Tracking Units for safety.
Students/parents can submit the Transport Request Form, after which the STS area Specialist analyses the route to confirm the availability of their services in that specific area. These area specialists also check the pick-up/drop-off point for safety purposes. The physical education department for indoor sports activity at JC offers an air-conditioned, extensive and multi-purpose sports hall. The indoor hall is fitted with all the necessary equipment requirements for the usual array of indoor sports.
