Jigsaw Nursery

Established in 2007 in Abu Dhabi, Jigsaw Nursery offers the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for students aged between 45 days and 4 years. It has an inclusive environment that welcomes children with diverse needs and backgrounds. 

The nursery maintains a low teacher-to-student ratio to deliver an individualised learning experience. This is complemented by state-of-the-art facilities and a wide range of extracurricular activities.

The campus is painted with bright and pastel colours, which ensure a pleasant outlook. Facilities within the premises are child-friendly and age-appropriate. Activity areas, corridors and classrooms are decorated with pictures of flora and fauna, student artwork and other classroom projects.

Jigsaw Kids Nursery is located ​on Jibal As Saqou' Street in Al Manhal, Abu Dhabi.

Jigsaw got an "Outstanding" rating from the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). Since 2007, it has been considered a reputable nursery among parents and the educational community. The curriculum is flexible and can be moulded to cater to the student's needs.

The faculty includes highly qualified teachers and caretakers to look after children. The nursery has specialised professionals who provide extensive support and ensure equal opportunities for kids with special needs.

Jigsaw Nursery, Al Manhal, Abu Dhabi implements the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for all classes including baby class to FS1. The curriculum, with its flexible nature, helps students excel in seven key areas of learning.

Another program that the nursery follows is StrongStart. It is an enriching and academically challenging programme to ease a child’s transition into school. Through the StrongStart programme, children can:

• Demonstrate an understanding of basic numeracy and literacy
• Work in groups
• Develop independence

The programme helps children start reading and writing by providing ample reading materials at the nursery to trigger their interest.

For Jigsaw Nursery admission, parents first need to register the child online. Once the registration is complete, they have to submit the following documents:

• 2 recent passport-sized photographs of the child
• Copy of child’s passport
• Copies of mother and father’s passports
• Copy of mother and father’s visa page (where applicable)
• Copy of the enrolled child's immunisation details
• Copy of child’s Emirates ID

The nursery will contact parents to communicate further details regarding the admission process.

To reserve a spot for the child at Jigsaw Nursery, parents have to pay a non-refundable placement fee of AED 1,000. This fee will be deducted from the term tuition fee in case of admission. The Jigsaw Nursery Abu Dhabi fees will be paid at least two weeks before the term starts, with a daily AED 20 charge for late payments. 
Sesame Nursery offers flexible attendance options, with a minimum of 2 days per week, while FS1 children must attend 5 days. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, with 07:00 am to 02:00 pm, 07:00 am to 05:00 pm and 07:00 am to 06:00 pm time slot options. A late pick-up fee of AED 25 per half-hour applies.

Jigsaw Nursery in Al Manhal offers many extra-curricular activities essential to a child's physical, mental, emotional and social development. A few examples include:

At Jigsaw, children engage in various activities like playing with sand and water, taking care of the vegetable patch using watering cans and creating mud pies in the mud kitchen. In addition, the nursery schedules supervised educational trips regularly to broaden children's learning experiences beyond the classroom.

The nursery offers daycare facilities till 06:00 pm.

At Jigsaw, students' health and safety is the top priority. The campus is equipped with CCTV cameras, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.

A well-equipped clinic is managed by a licensed nurse who provides first-aid treatment to kids in case of minor injuries. The clinic staff also maintains health records for future reference. There is a trained HAAD-qualified nurse in the baby class.

At Jigsaw Abu Dhabi, parents play a crucial role in their child's journey. Communication methods between the nursery and parents include email, newsletters and social media updates. The Tapestry app is used for daily teacher updates, like written reports and pictures. Parent-teacher meetings and fun events like painting and sports days are also part of the communication methods.
