Kindergarten

The school follows the guidelines of the CBSE curriculum for its pre-primary phase. The emphasis of the kindergarten curriculum is on developing interest in learning as well as in subjects like maths, linguistics and psycho-social skills. The medium of instruction is in English.

Admission and Fees

How to Apply to GEMS Our Own Indian School?

GEMS Our Own Indian School admission policy is inclusive of all types of students granted that the school meets the required needs of the students. The admission policy is aligned with the school’s motto of ‘Embrace, Engage and Empower’. To decide which year a child should be placed in a placement test, an equivalent of an entrance exam is conducted and marked by the school staff.

Initiate the process by submitting the online enrolment form available on the website. Additionally, students must enrol online before admission starts. The assessment process charges include an application fee of AED 500 + Value Added Tax (VAT).

GEMS Our Own Indian School require a few documents to be submitted with the application form which are:

  • Three copies of the student’s passport with a valid UAE visa.
  • Four recent photographs of the child (6×4 cm size) and one stamp-size photograph for the bus card.
  • One photocopy of the Birth Certificate in English or Arabic. (Original must be attached along with for verification).
  • One copy of the Student’s and Parent’s Emirates ID.
  • Original Emirates ID of the Student and both Parents for KHDA Registration (Will be returned immediately after the online registration in the KHDA System).
  • Photocopy of the original mark sheet of the last examination passed at the previous school.

Scholarships at GEMS Our Own Indian School

Since Our Own Indian School is a project of GEMS education, students have access to many scholarships. GEMS education boasts one of the largest scholarship opportunities in the UAE. This new merit-based scholarship allows a concession of 25% to 100% off the annual tuition fee for an academic year. However, to attain a scholarship in the next academic year, students must apply for a renewal based on their last performance.

The scholarship is provided for excellence in the fields of Academics, Creative and Performing Arts, Arabic Studies, Sports or Innovation and Digital Technology. Please note that all the scholarships are available to current and prospective students of GEMS school from Year 7 (Grade 6) onwards.
