In the primary stage, GEMS Our Own English High School targets the holistic development of students via formal learning methods. The school follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum with the standards set by NCERT for primary and subsequent phases of education.
Besides the common core subjects of English, mathematics and science, students can opt for either Hindi, Malayalam, Urdu or French as second language. Moreover, they have to study Arabic, Islamic Education and UAE social studies as mandated by MOE. Please note that Islamic Education is mandatory for Muslims.
In the middle school, teachers focus on students’ personal growth and development. It aims to foster positive, active and reflective students that are ready to tackle the academic challenges. The school continues to follow CBSE curriculum and teaches similar subjects with complex concepts. The second language options for this stage remain the same as of primary school.
In this stage, the school prepares students to sit external board examinations in Grade 10 and Grade 12. These examinations are conducted by CBSE and the syllabus is based on the learning guidelines and subjects recommended by the same board. The curriculum complies with the regulations of standards of CBSE, KHDA and MOE.

Upon completion of online registration, the application fee of AED 525 (VAT inclusive) is applicable. It is non-transferable and non-adjustable. However, the application fee is refundable, subject to terms and conditions.
An additional 10% of annual tuition is charged during admission as the registration deposit. It is non-refundable and non-transferable, but it can be adjusted against tuition fees for the academic year. When the admission has been processed, AED 30 is charged for the school ID card and diary.

GEMS Our Own English High School offers the maximum number of scholarship opportunities in the country. There are different categories when it comes to scholarships in GEMS Our Own English High School. It is an utterly merit-based scholarship programme designed for rewarding students who excel in academics, sports, creative & performing arts, innovation & digital technology and Arabic studies.
Through the scholarship programme, fee reductions from 25% to a full 100% annual fee concession are offered to well-deserving candidates. This scholarship is awarded for one academic year, and students have to apply for renewal, and the candidate will be judged based on their academic progress.
The school has a cafeteria and canteen to provide healthy snacks and fresh food items. Kids can also bring food from home.
GEMS Our Own English High School offers reliable and secure bus service for students in partnership with School Transport Services LLC (STS). Each vehicle has video surveillance systems, scanners and global positioning systems. For better protection of kids, each bus is inspected and maintained as per the Roads & Transport Authority regulations.
Parents can develop a personalised transport plan for their child and submit the transport request form with the requirements and details of the preferred route. It is an easy and simple process. The form is then reviewed by an STS area specialist, who then proposes the best route for the student. Parents will be contacted with relevant timing and important details of the driver.
The school encourages students to explore their potential and skills in different sports. GEMS Our Own English High School promotes a healthy lifestyle in students through sports.
