Parents also need to pay AED 525 (VAT included) as the application fee. The amount is non-refundable if the school offers a place to students, but the offer is rejected. This admission fee is refundable if the school does not offer a place to the student.
The school will also ask for a non-refundable registration deposit of 10% of the tuition fee and a non-refundable re-registration deposit of 5% of the tuition fee.
The school rarely refunds applications; however, the school makes a refund under exceptional circumstances, including relocation to another country. The calculation for a refund is:
Refunds would be made through cheque if parents paid the tuition fee in cash. If the fees were paid with a credit card or online, then the money would be returned to the credit card.
In case a student wants to withdraw, parents are required to inform the school at least a month in advance so that MTS can complete all the exit formalities or prepare the Transfer Certificate for the student’s convenience.
Failure to pay the school fees on time will result in the loss of the student’s place at the school. GEMS Metropole School, Motor City, has the autonomy to withhold any school report, examination results and suspend or expel the student from the school.

The scholarship is awarded on merit only, and students can get a 25% to 100% waiver on their tuition fee depending upon their performance in the category they would like to apply.
In general, to successfully compete in the scholarship program, students need to show a record of proven outstanding achievement in the relevant category, submit a duly completed scholarship form along with the most recent school report. They also need to pass specific tests or assessments and then successfully clear interviews conducted by the school principal and the GEMS Scholarship Committee.
