A salient characteristic of secondary school is the Checkpoint Examination governed by the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) board. Post-16 Level (Key Stage 5)

The Post-16 level was introduced by the Dubai Carmel School, Al Nahda, in 2014 – 2015. Key Stage 5 (KS5) education is given special attention. For this purpose, DCS has hired specialist teachers supervised by the IGCSE coordinator and department heads of Science, Business and ICT Solutions.

In the Sixth Form phase, students appear for Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced (A) Levels at the end of the academic year.

How to Apply to Dubai Carmel School?

Here’s a summary of the Dubai Carmel admission process.

  • Parents must visit the school campus and fill in the online enquiry form to start the admission process. Please note that parents express their interest in enrolling their children on Dubai Carmel School by filling out the online form.
  • After that, parents are required to submit the registration form. The documents required with the registration form are:
    • A copy of the student’s birth certificate (in English or Arabic)
    • A copy of the students’ and parents’ passports, visas and Emirates IDs
    • A copy of the immunisation record of the student
    • Recent school report card
    • Leaving certificate or transfer certificate issued by the previous school
    • Five passport-size photographs
  • The admission committee representative will guide the parents regarding the entrance exam schedule.
  • Non-Arab applicants will have to appear in the English and Mathematics entrance exam, while Arab students will appear for English, Mathematics and Arabic tests.
  • After that, you will have to pay the annual tuition fee or the first term instalment to the Accounts department.
  • Students applying in Year 12 or AS Level will not appear for an entrance test. Instead, they have to show a minimum of a ‘C’ grade in the subject they are willing to pursue at AS Level.

Payment Policy

  • The registration fee is non-refundable. Cash payment is to be made at the time of registration.
  • Dubai Carmel School fees can be paid either annually or in three instalments during the academic year. Parents can make the payments on 1st August, 1st December and 1st March.
  • The first instalment has to be made in cash while parents can pay the remaining instalments through cheques in favour of the school.
  • The school is liable to charge a penalty of AED 200 for a returned cheque. In this scenario, parents will have to repay the school in cash along with the penalty fees.
  • School uniforms, books and other resources will be allotted to children after payment of the tuition fee is confirmed.
