Darul Huda Islamic School Curriculum

The school follows the CBSE curriculum. It strives to promote a deeper understanding and respect for Indian culture and heritage. Furthermore, the school adopts some subjects from the Ministry of Education’s curriculum. As a result, children become familiar with Islamic values.

Once your child reaches the secondary stage, they have to choose between two streams – Science and Commerce, depending on the career they want to pursue.

Since this educational institute helps students learn and become familiar with Islamic values, Islamic Studies and Quran are mandatory for Muslim students. Students belonging to other faiths are taught Moral Education as per the UAE’s Ministry of Education guidelines.

Academic Calendar for Darul Huda Islamic School

Like other Indian curriculum schools in Al Ain, Darul Huda Islamic School’s academic calendar starts in April and ends in March. This calendar includes the dates for exams, results, national and Islamic holidays and other school events.

Please note that all Islamic holidays are subject to moonsighting.

  • The first term starts in the third week of April and ends in the last week of June, followed by a two-month summer break.
  • The second term resumes in the last week of August. It ends in the second week of December, followed by a three-week winter vacation.
  • The third week commences in the first week of January and ends in the last week of March, followed by a two-week spring holiday.

Darul Huda Islamic School timings are 07:15 am (opening of school gate) to 02:00 pm every Monday to Friday in an academic year. After-school events are conducted until 04:15 pm.

Admission and Fees

How to Apply to Darul Huda Islamic School?

Darul Huda Islamic School’s admission process starts with online registration. After completing the registration, parents must visit the school with mandatory documents within two days. The school will issue a registration confirmation slip that is stamped and signed.

Please note that failure to meet the deadline will automatically cancel your child’s registration.

Documents required to be submitted include:

  • Emirates ID of the student
  • Vaccination card of the student
  • Previous school report of the student (if applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • A copy of the student’s passport
  • A photograph of the student
  • Attested birth certificate of the student
  • Required tuition fees

Students who are offered admission will be contacted via telephone or SMS. Also, they will be given a confirmation slip which they have to bring on the first day of school.

Please note that:

  • Students that have been admitted to kindergarten (KG1 or KG2) or Grade 1 must submit a vaccination card that fulfils the “Childhood Immunisation Schedule” of the current HAAD Immunisation Schedule.
  • Students that have been admitted to Grades 2 to 12 must submit a vaccination card that fulfils the “Childhood Immunisation Schedule” and the “School Immunisation Schedule According to Grade” of the current HAAD Immunisation Schedule.
  • The school shall not refuse or withhold admission of students who do not have vaccination cards or do not meet all the requirements on their vaccination cards. It should accept them on the condition that they complete the necessary vaccinations and provide a vaccination card that meets all requirements within the school year. This shall be considered a condition for re-registration for the next school year.

DHIS reserves the right to conduct an interview or assessment of your child only to assess if they require support or reinforcement classes. The assessment or interview, however, shall not guarantee admissions.

Darul Huda Islamic School fees can be paid via cash or cheque. The school allows tuition fee payment to be made monthly (10 months), semi-annually, termly or annually. Sponsors or parents who will pay the fee monthly should do so before the 10th of each month.
