Children’s House Montessori (CHM) was founded in 2015 in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. The nursery blends the Montessori approach and the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. CHM Abu Dhabi admits children aged 45 days to up to 5 years and stands out due to its wide range of extracurricular activities.

The Children’s House Montessori campus is thoughtfully designed to cater to children of various age groups, fostering their growth and development in a safe and nurturing environment. The nursery has separate spaces for each age group with facilities, including open play areas, a sleep room, a kitchenette and open-plan classrooms that encompass various learning areas.

Children’s House Montessori in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum blended with the Montessori approach. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy and utilising Montessori materials, the Children's House Montessori curriculum is carefully designed to guide each child towards the early learning goals outlined within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, preparing them for the transition to school.

Activities of Everyday Living (AEL)

This program at the nursery focuses on enhancing children's independence while developing essential skills such as fine motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, orderliness and concentration. 

Sensorial Activities

These activities include isolating one sensory challenge at a time, allowing children to comprehend abstract concepts like size, weight and length and explore aspects such as colours, shapes, sounds, textures and patterns. 

Mathematics

The nursery utilises materials like number rods, spindle boxes and counters to offer children a straightforward and concrete path for learning numbers. Additionally, mathematics is introduced indirectly through various activities like measuring, pouring and comparing sizes. 

Language

Language acquisition occurs indirectly through everyday activities and by learning precise terminology related to their environment. Materials like picture cards expand vocabulary, while tactile exploration using sandpaper letters aids in letter recognition and future writing skills. Furthermore, using metal insets teaches children to draw within boundaries, effectively preparing their hands and minds for reading and writing.
To support language diversity, a qualified Early Years Arabic Teacher can assist children with Arabic as their first language and introduce Arabic through play activities to non-native students. 

Other Activities

At Children’s House Montessori, engaging activities are offered to introduce children to diverse cultures, people, and countries. The children understand the world's richness and diversity through interactive tools such as globes and puzzle maps. The curriculum also includes activities that involve matching, sorting and classifying using picture and name cards to expand their cultural knowledge further while reinforcing the cultural dimension.

The painting corner provides a space where children can freely express their creativity through drawing and painting. 

Activities in visual arts, modelling, storytelling, and singing are also offered to nurture creativity. The curriculum includes teacher-led activities that revolve around current events and thematic subjects, further enhancing children's creative expression.

The Enrichment Program provides opportunities to help kids explore new experiences through various activities at Children’s House Montessori throughout the year.

Little Magic Train is an exceptional UK program dedicated to significantly enhancing children's physical, linguistic and creative development through music and movement. CHM Khalifa City organises special splash days for all children during Water Play, subject to weather conditions. This program provides an unparalleled opportunity for children to develop and grow in a fun and safe environment.

Furthermore, CHM Khalifa City Abu Dhabi Nursery focuses on celebrating all important days, including each child’s birthday and festivals throughout the year, such as National Day, Eid Days, New Year, etc. Different activity days are organised throughout the year, including Astronaut Day, Global Recycling Day and Earth Day.

The nursery provides childcare services from Sunday to Thursday, from 07:00 am to 05:00 pm. The standard session runs from 07:45 am to 01:45 pm, with optional extensions until 03:00 pm or 05:00 pm. An early bird session is also available from 07:00 am to 07:45 am.

Surveillance cameras are strategically placed throughout the Children's House Montessori campus. Additionally, fire extinguishers have been positioned at various locations within the facility.

Children's House Montessori (CHM), located in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, provides an internet-based record-keeping system called "My Montessori Child". The system enables parents to access their child's records using individual PINs, and they can also provide comments and observations.
