Busy Bees Nursery

Busy Bees Nursery is a renowned early years education centre in Al Danah, Abu Dhabi. It was established in the capital city in 2006 to cater to children's educational and daycare needs. Busy Bees follows the Washington Framework (American curriculum) based on fun and interactive activities. Children in the nursery gain hands-on experience and explore a well-equipped campus offering indoor and outdoor activities.

The nursery campus is suitable for children. Some key highlights are:

Busy Bees Nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore, communicate, and learn through purposeful play. It offers different instructional approaches to support each child's learning style and teach good manners and behaviour.

Busy Bees provides evidence-based education and implements best practices for early childhood development through a theme-based curriculum. The curriculum is closely aligned with the Washington Early Years Framework and incorporates elements of the Core Knowledge system in the US. 

It introduces fundamental concepts such as numbers, motor skills, letter sounds, and shapes, which are tailored to the age and abilities of each child. The extensive coverage of each theme provides a wide range of experiences for children to enjoy. All classes are conducted primarily in English, and the campus also offers Arabic classes (multiple), Islamic Studies and stories classes once a week.

These documents have to be submitted before admission is finalised: 

• Child’s birth certificate (birth certificates issued by other countries must be translated into Arabic and stamped at their respective embassy).
• Four colour photographs of the child
• Photocopy of the child’s and parent's passports showing the current residence visa
• Copy of immunisation card
• Copy of health insurance card
• Copy of the child’s Emirates ID card
• Copy of the insurance card of the child (if available)

Students must appear for an interview before registration.

At Busy Bees, children can enjoy many activities. These include:

The Busy Bees Nursery offers diverse activities, including visits from professionals such as dentists and nurses, as well as dancing, arts and crafts, physical activities, mask-making, sand play, free play, play dough, constructive playtime and storytelling.

The clinic inside the nursery is where a nurse carries out regular check-ups. 

Students are made familiar with healthy eating habits. A list of recommended and prohibited snacks is given to parents at the time of admission. Recommended snacks include milk, juice, raisins, plain biscuits, cereals and sandwiches. Fizzy drinks, candies, fries, chocolate biscuits and gums are prohibited on campus.

Parents are kept up-to-date through various channels, including the HiMama parent application, the Busy Bees Nursery website, email, social media platforms, and display notices. Additionally, teachers may directly communicate with parents for important updates. Busy Bees Nursery's social media accounts are frequently updated with photos and videos to keep parents informed.
