Parents can use the different platforms established by Apple International School, Dubai, to communicate with teachers. The parent portal allows parents to view their child’s academic performance or book an appointment with a teacher or the administration.
Other than the portal, three other mediums are available to parents and guardians to establish contact. The first one is the Parent Forum. This parent representative body is established to assist AIS in preparing children to become progressive global community members.
Parents can also provide their valuable feedback and suggestions to the school regarding academic and non-academic ventures. The body consists of a selected parent from each grade across the school. However, all parents can volunteer to become a part of the group. The selection consists of random draws, and member parents can hold the term for one academic year.
The second method is the parent-teacher meeting. Parents are encouraged to take part in parent-teacher meetings. You can use the pupil’s diary as a communication link and interact with teachers with the help of the parent forum.
The third mode of communication is ‘Parents as Partners.’ The school encourages parents and guardians to attend the workshop to assist students with their education at home.
Last, parents are requested to be a part of the WhatsApp group made for each grade. You can easily receive notifications regarding events or holidays by being a member of these groups. To join a group, parents can request the staff members and the class teacher.
