The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a governmental body established in 2006. It is an education regulatory body that manages the quality of education offered in Dubai. How to Apply to Amity School Dubai?

Amity School Dubai accepts admission applications from all communities and ethnicities. Admissions are open throughout the year, and the academic year starts in April and ends in March. The admission in Grade 2 and above depends on the curriculum followed at the previous school and guidelines by KHDA and the Ministry of Education (MOE).

The following documents must be submitted at the time of confirmation of admission:

  • Passport of the candidate with a valid UAE residence visa (one copy)
  • Passport of the parents with a valid UAE residence visa (one copy)
  • Birth certificate of the candidate (one copy)
  • Emirates ID of the candidate (one copy)
  • Emirates ID of the parents (one copy)
  • Vaccination record of the candidate (one copy)
  • Passport-size photographs of the candidate (four photos)

For admissions in Grade 2 and above, students need to provide an original transfer certificate issued by the previous school. The guidelines for an acceptable transfer certificate are:

  • Students coming from other emirates in the UAE, except Dubai, need to have the transfer certificate attested by the Ministry of Education of that Emirate.
  • Those coming from GCC countries, except the UAE, should have the transfer certificate attested by the Ministry of Education of that country. 
  • Those applying from India need to have a transfer certificate attested by the education officer of that district/board. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE and Indian consulate in Dubai must verify the seal and signature by the education officer.
  • No attestation is required for students coming from Australia, Canada, Europe, United Kingdom and the United States.
