The management at Ambassador will communicate details of such camps to parents via email at least a month in advance. Most camps offer sports activities, creative play and arts and crafts lessons to students.
Sports programs include unstructured and structured play. Students of Kindergarten classes 1 and 2 develop their motor skills by practising increased control over an object while kicking, throwing and catching. This helps them to adjust speed as well as change their direction when facing a hurdle. Through these classes, children can also participate in chasing and racing games and interact with their classmates.
The management of Ambassador Kindergarten believes that yoga can help students embrace their creative energy. Kids’ yoga, taught at the Ambassador Kindergarten, incorporates marginally modified postures of the conventional “Asana” that helps students improve their focus towards studies. A qualified Yoga teacher instructs the students. They learn fun yoga postures, diversions, and breathing techniques all the while listening to music.
During playtime, children are given materials to attempt to create new things, make inquiries, observe, sing, play, investigate, and even get untidy if they want to.
These activities allow children to see things from a different perspective to make amazing new realisations.
Some of these activities include outdoor play, role play, sensory play, water play etc. Free play allows students to select their play materials and direct their play, which helps them make quick decisions.
Learning life skills is an important part of early childhood education. These skills are promoted naturally by interlinking various skills with children’s activities. Some of these activities include learning to play cooperatively with other students, independent completion of tasks, and learning the fine details of life. This may include buttoning, zipping, lacing, pouring, rolling mats etc. The life skills room also has a thematic setting where students are allowed to learn conceptually through every activity.
All kids love to sing, dance, and play musical instruments. The music teachers at this school help children to embrace and develop this interest. At Ambassador Kindergarten, kids get weekly lessons to play musical instruments such as violin, drums, violin, xylophone, mini keyboard, etc.
Physical development through dance lessons helps students to improve balance, motion, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Through these dance classes, children get an opportunity to learn in a comfortable and relaxed social setting where they can understand space, interact with other kids and perform.
Ambassador Kindergarten takes the students on field trips and excursions throughout the academic year. Through these excursions, students learn the importance of community care. The trips help students learn and develop in an open environment. They also help students create global connections with the information gained in class. Field trips include visits to nature centres, zoos, museums, and community agencies.
The school offers a day-care facility that operates until 05:00 pm every day. Students can also participate in after-school activities such as dance, karate and soccer classes. School transport service can be availed for these activities for some additional charges.
Health services are provided to children by highly competent and experienced doctors and nurses. The school makes sure that students are protected against injuries. These services ensure access to the primary health centre and communicable disease control. They also provide emergency care for illness and promote sanitary conditions that are beneficial for a safe and sound school environment.
The school is located close to three hospitals; Aster Hospital, International Modern Hospital, and Mankhool Health Centre.
A Parent Support Group (PSG) has been formed at the school to facilitate communication between parents and the school management. It includes one representative from every class, apart from a parent governor from every grade. The school management and parent representatives meet twice a month, where they put forward their views on different programs and come up with solutions for any challenges.
The main contribution of PSG is to bridge the gap of understanding between the parent community and the school. It also ensures that relevant data is shared with other parents and encourages active parent participation for new initiatives, and creating an alliance between homes and schools.
Parents are connected with school 24×7 by means of the AKG Parent Login (Orison ERP portal). This system allows two-way communication between the school management and parents. It also enables the parents to receive and send emails from the class teacher, principal, and other management personnel.
Teachers can also inform the parents of the students through Whatsapp groups. These Whatsapp groups include parents of all the students in a specific year.
