Overview

Part of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan network of schools in the Middle East, Al Saad Indian School Al Ain offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is the second school established by the network in the UAE after the campus at Abu Dhabi.

Established in 2014, Al Saad Indian School follows the Indian curriculum. Affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi, it has 800 students, 62 teachers and a teacher to student ratio of 1:13. An SEN coordinator is available to look after the educational needs of children with Mild Learning Disabilities. Frequent parent meetings are conducted so that children with Individualized Education Plans can cope up with the mainstream curriculum requirements.

Al Saad Indian School Curriculum

The school follows the CBSE curriculum and a few subjects are incorporated as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, UAE.

Montessori level teaching involves various activities. SIS follows the Montessori curriculum with certain elements of EYFS. Subjects offered include:

Al Saad Indian Private School secured an ‘Acceptable’ rating during the ADEK inspection held from 20th January to 23rd January 2019. According to the Al Saad Indian School ADEK rating and report, SIS’s overall performance is acceptable. Students’ achievement is acceptable as well.

Admission and Fees

How to Apply to Al Saad Indian School?

To kick-start the Al Saad Indian School admission process, parents must fill the online registration form available on the school’s website. Students are shortlisted according to the availability of seats before being called for an assessment. Parents are informed regarding the admission progress through registered email. Please note that the form has to be printed before filling.

Registration fee collected at this stage is 5% of the annual tuition fee. This has to be paid once all mandatory documents are submitted. All admission-related communication takes place via emails.

To complete the registration process, parents must submit the following mandatory documents:

  • Colour copy of the applicant’s passport (front page, back page and visa page)
  • Colour copy of the applicant’s valid Emirates ID
  • Colour copy of the applicant’s birth certificate
    • If a student is born in the UAE or any other GCC country, the birth certificate doesn’t require attestation
    • If a student is born in India and their birth certificate is in English, it should be attested by the UAE Embassy/Consulate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abu Dhabi.
    • If the student is born in India but the certificate is NOT in English, the birth certificate should be translated by a legal translator and then attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abu Dhabi.
  • Colour copy of the last report (Except for KG1 applicants)
  • Copy of the applicant’s vaccination record
  • Copy of the valid insurance card
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Tenancy contract and copy of electricity bill
  • Copy of father’s passport (first page, last page and valid visa page)
  • Copy of mother’s passport (first page, last page and valid visa page)
  • Copy of Emirates ID of both parents

All the details mentioned in the registration form should be correct. Any discrepancies will result in the disqualification of the candidate.

The above-mentioned fee can be paid in three instalments.

  • The first instalment has to be paid before 1st April
  • The second instalment has to be paid before 22nd June
  • The third instalment has to be paid before 15th December

Please note that Al Saad Indian School fee quoted above does not include the cost of:

  • Books
  • Uniform
  • Transportation

The tuition fee has to be paid via crossed cheques. The fee once paid is non-refundable. AED 1,000 has to be paid at the time of admission. This amount will be returned when the child leaves school. However, the original receipt has to be presented to qualify for a refund.

The late fee is AED 10 per day after the due date. The fee can be revised during the session as instructed by the Private Education Department.

The school does not have a canteen or cafeteria. Students can bring packed lunches from home.

School Transportation at Al Saad Indian School

Transport services are offered by Tareq Transport Est. – a reliable transport operator approved by the Department of Transport. Please note that at Al Saad School Al Ain only collects the form and the transportation fee for new registrations. Since the school works as a coordinator between the Transport Operator and Parents, an operation executive from the company is always available at the campus. Parents are welcomed to meet the executive during school timings.

Tareq Transport Est operates all school buses in compliance with the guidelines laid down by the regulatory authorities. All drivers are fully trained and hold DOT issued driving licenses. The drivers also undergo rigorous training. All buses have video surveillance systems and a mobile phones. Parents cannot opt for private transport services for security reasons.

Students should remain well-behaved during the journey, any act of indiscipline or damaging the vehicle can result in the suspension of transport service. Eating and drinking on the bus are strictly prohibited. Buses leave and reach pick-up points on time.

The non-refundable transport fee for the term has to be paid at the start of the term along with the tuition fee. The bus registration form is available on the school website. For transport-related communication, email at transport@bhavansalain.com.

Holiday Camps at Al Saad Indian School

The school organises a 30-day summer camp. Interested students can sign up and participate in art and craft, music and sports activities during the summer camp.

A wide range of after-school clubs and activities are planned for all age groups. Dance, Music, Arts activities are offered to children. They can choose activities as per their liking.

Al Saad Indian School also invites performers and scholars from India so children get to know more about their home country and its heritage and culture. The school is an active member of SPIC MACAY – a society that promotes Indian classical music and culture.

Students have the opportunity to write stories, poems and articles in the school magazine which is published yearly. Students are also responsible to design the cover page and other illustrations for the school magazine. The editorial board is assisted by staff members.

Field Trips at Al Saad Indian School

Local trips are organised by the school. Recent trips include visits to IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai and Warner Bros, Abu Dhabi. Young children visited Heritage Village Al Ain and Al Ain Fun City.

International field trips are also organised by Al Saad Indian School. Students visited New Delhi, Malaysia and Singapore as part of these ventures.
