The academic learning experience at Al Mawakeb Private School is supported by a wide range of extra-curricular activities and physical education.
To develop language skills and reading literacy from a tender age, the school takes assistance from three languages including French, Arabic and English. The kindergarten section has a tri-lingual program where students are taught three languages – English, French and Arabic. These languages are treated as the language of instruction or additional language.
At this stage, they teach children to adopt a more independent approach towards studies. Learners have the option to select Arabic B, French B, and Social Studies and Islamic Education in English.
Middle School at Al Mawakeb is designed to support advanced teaching in high school. Research and analysis are the two main skills taught in middle school. Also, students appear in many tests and assessments to gauge the level of attainment in all subjects. These tests include MAP, CAT4, PSAT and TIMSS.
Just like middle school, high school presents a ground for students to prepare themselves for college and university. High school consists of four years where students go through freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years and graduate with a High School Diploma issued by the KHDA.
Apart from this, your child can opt for Advanced Placement (AP) courses that offer college-level curriculums in various subjects. The school encourages students to take more than one AP course during their studies.
The Knowledge and Human Development Apartment (KHDA) is a government entity that evaluates the performance of private schools operating in Dubai. The authority rates schools on a six-point scale.

The school needs to up its game in a few areas to increase its overall rating.
