New attractions to be launched at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
On the occasion of it’s tenth anniversary, popular entertainment and recreational destination of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is launching two new adrenaline-fuelled activities for thrill seekers. The Ferrari World Roof Walk and Ferrari World Zipline will add an exciting new dimension to the already record-breaking collection of roller coasters at the theme park.
THE FERRARI WORLD ROOF WALK AND FERRARI WORLD ZIPLINE LAUNCH
On 4 November 2020, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will complete its ten-year anniversary. The launch of the zipline and roof walk at Ferrari World will be part of the theme park’s anniversary celebrations. Both these adrenaline-fuelled activities will be open to the public on 5 November 2020.
The Acting Head of Yas Theme Parks and the General Manager at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Bianca Sammut was reported saying,
“These experiences complement the thrilling mix of activities that guests can enjoy when they visit the theme park. As we hit our phenomenal 10-year milestone we have evolved so much at the Park, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our promise to continuously elevate our world-class guest experience.”
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEW ATTRACTIONS AT FERRARI WORLD ABU DHABI?
In their bid to add more elements of excitement and thrill for their guests, the park management brings you something completely out of the box this time. Completely unique and different from the awesome rides at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, but still thrilling enough to get your adrenaline pumping, the Ferrari World Roof Walk and Ferrari World Zipline will allow you to view the splendid Yas Island entertainment-scape from a different angle.
ROOF WALK EXPERIENCE
The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Roof Walk is a complete 90-minute experience where you get to walk on the theme park’s iconic red roof. This is a unique chance to see the world’s largest Ferrari logo up close and personal, while still enjoying the spectacular views of Yas Island.
All guests opting for the Roof Walk experience must ensure they fulfil the following criteria.
- Age restrictions: between 8 and 65 years old
- Parental consent required for people aged below 16
- Weight restriction: Must be less than 140kg
- Height restriction: between 1.2m and 2.0m
ZIP LINE EXPERIENCE
The Ferrari World Zipline is a two-track system that runs right through a loop of the Flying Aces Roller Coaster. This may not be the largest zipline in the world, but it certainly lets you compete in a race with the person ziplining on the other side of you. The whole experience lasts 30 minutes.
To be able to experience the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Zipline, you need to adhere to the following rules:
- Parental consent required for people aged below 16
- Weight restrictions: between 55kg and 115kg
- Height restrictions: between 1.6m and 1.9m
- Long hair should be properly tied
COMBO EXPERIENCE
Anyone who wants the best of both worlds can opt for the combo experience that entitles you to a 120 minutes of a one-of-a-kind experience where you zip through the highest non-inverted roller coaster loop in the world and walk on the unique red roof taking in the surroundings like never before.
Here are some general guidelines to keep in mind when opting for these experiences individually or combined.
- The participant should not have any health complications
- No digital, electronic or mobile gadgets are allowed
- Loose clothing is not allowed
- Smoking, drinking or eating is not allowed
- Pregnant women, people scared of heights, people under the influence of alcohol/drugs or medication that impairs judgment are not allowed.
TICKET PRICES FOR ZIPLINE AND ROOF WALK AT FERRARI WORLD
Charges for the Ferrari World Roof Walk and Ferrari World Zipline experiences are as follows:
- Ferrari World Zipline ticket price: AED 95 per person
- Ferrari World Roof Walk ticket price: AED 125 per person
- Combo Experience ticket price: AED 175 per person
As part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations, UAE residents can avail of a 50% discount on the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi entry tickets until December 31. Those who have purchased the Ferrari World 2020 pass for AED 310 can enjoy multiple entries – as many as they want till the end of this year.
FERRARI WORLD ABU DHABI TIMINGS AND LOCATION
The Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is located on Yas Island. The theme park is conveniently located for the residents of villas on Yas Island. For everyone else, the easiest way to get there is to drive. Those who don’t drive can take a taxi for quick conveyance solutions. If you’re looking for cheaper commuting options, take the Line 190 bus.
