Up Close and Personal with Bayut: Chris Crawford (video)
We at Bayut are very proud of our success. We’ve managed to become one of the largest and most reputable real estate portals in the UAE in a very short time. But, we are also aware that the reason behind this is our very strong team full of well-trained professionals from across the globe. Bayut’s staffers come from India, England, Syria, America, Philippines, Jordan, Canada, Pakistan, South Africa, Russia, Moldova, Serbia, Scotland, Wales, France, and more.
With ‘Up Close and Personal with Bayut’, we aim to put forward a variety of different cultures and, more importantly, help you to explore various areas of Dubai by proxy.
ABOUT CHRIS:
The first of our colleagues to be photographed ‘up, close and personal’ is one of our top salesmen and self-proclaimed “most handsome employee at Bayut,” Chris Crawford. Chris lives in The Springs but he is originally from Glasgow, Scotland. He got his first job as a Sales Area Manager at SSE Plc, the UK’s broadest-based energy company. Following that, he dabbled in finance and wealth management before finally joining Bayut in 2014.
At Bayut, Chris soon proved himself to be an overachiever in managing the thriving Business Bay area, as well as an amazing colleague, with team spirit to spare and a great sense of humour
When he’s not Bayut’s Senior Area Manager, Chris is a part-time DJ performing in the UAE and Scotland. His father was a part of the lively nightclub industry in Glasgow so Chris was exposed to music from a very early age. Another passion of his is football. Chris supports the Glasgow Rangers and plays for a local team called Notorious DXB. He also enjoys socialising, partying and travelling the world, which brings us to his fiancee, Sophie.
Sophie and Chris met in Glasgow when they were sixteen years old and have been together ever since. She lives in Dubai as well and works as a flight attendant for the Emirates Airline. The two got engaged last year and are set to get married in Scotland this year in July. Keeping up with the Scottish tradition, Chris will wear a tartan (a woollen cloth with a particular design associated with his family tree), as well as a kilt (skirt-type garment) and a sporran (traditional male pouch, as seen in the top image).
We hope you enjoyed reading about our favourite Scotsman! Check out the full video with Chris and hear what he has to say about one of Dubai’s most peaceful and, as he put it, “chilled” areas. If you’re interested in living in a similar property, search villas for rent in The Springs.
