According to Japan’s Foreign Policy, nationals of about 60+ countries, including the UAE, do not need a visa to travel to Japan for 30 days or less.

Applying in person
The Embassy of Japan in the UAE is only authorised to accept applications and issue visas to expatriates residing in Al Ain or Abu Dhabi. Those living in other emirates must submit their applications at the Consulate General of Japan in Dubai.
Apply Online
You can apply for a single-entry tourist visa online through Japan’s official e-visa platform. The visa is only applicable for tourism and not for visiting acquaintances or business. It is valid for three months from the date of issuance.
Visit the official website, register, complete the application and submit the necessary paperwork. Submit the application once all the required documents are uploaded.
Please note, the Japan e-visa can only be applied for tourism purposes. Those who wish to visit the country for other intentions must submit additional documents and are advised to apply at the Embassy.
