On the 24th of July 2018, it was announced that the much-awaited Asia Cup cricket tournament would be split into group stage fixtures, with the competing six teams divided into two groups. The teams that come on the top two from each group will then progress to the Super Fours of the tournament. The top two teams from these Super Four matches will then make it to the final of the Asia Cup 2018 on 28 September 2018 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

- Group A: Comprises of India, Pakistan and the final team that will qualify for the Asia Cup, which is expected to be Oman or the UAE based on the standings so far.

The first game of the Asia Cup 2018 in the UAE will be on 15 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium between Srilanka and Bangladesh from Group B.
