There are so many things to do in Dubai this week, so take your pick from any of the following to kick off to an amazing week ahead!
1. Catch the Diwali fireworks at Global Village
We had to give the Diwali 2018 fireworks at Global village, the first spot on our list of things to do this week! This year the city has gone all out to celebrate the Festival of Lights; there are more than 19 events for Diwali in Dubai, taking place this week, and the fireworks at Global Village is definitely one to check out. There are also many other activities for Diwali at Global Village that the whole family can enjoy which include interactive installations, live dance performances, pottery painting for kids and an attempt create the UAE’s largest Rangoli Mandala. Two of Bollywood’s top singers, Neha Kakkar and Ankit Tiwari will also be performing live on the Main Stage at Global Village on Friday. So if you are a Bollywood fan, make sure to head on down to Global Village celebrate the festival of lights with friends and family.

2. be part of a record-breaking event at al seef
This week in Dubai is filled with activities to celebrate the festival of Diwali, however, if watching the fireworks is not your cup of tea head on down to Al Seef and participate in the official attempt to break a Guinness World Record for ‘the most number of people lighting LED lights in a relay’. Staff from Dubai Tourism, Dubai Police and the Consulate General of India will be involved too!

3. RELIVE Queen’s greatest hits with the Bohemian Rhapsody movie
If you are a Queen fan, Freddie Mercury’s biopic, ‘Bohemian Rapshody’ should definitely be on your list of things to do in Dubai this week. The movie follows the story of the band Queen’s rise to success, focusing on lead singer Freddie Mercury’s life leading up to the band’s Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in 1985.

4. WATCH DUA LIPA LIVE IN CONCERT
Performing for Louvre Abu Dhabi’s first birthday is the chart-topping sensation Dua Lipa! Known for her hit-singles such as New Rules and One Kiss, Dua Lipa will headline for the four-day event taking place from 8 – 11 November 2018, which will include exhibitions, family activities and workshops and more at the world-renowned museum on Saadiyat Island. If you’ve already got your tickets and are ready to head to the capital for the concert, make sure you snap a picture at all these amazing exhibits in Louvre Abu Dhabi.

5. brunch in style at the Bulgari Yacht Club
This one is for all the seafood lovers! If you are looking to enjoy a Friday brunch this week in Dubai, the Bulgari Yacht Club is opening its doors for non-yacht owners to enjoy a spectacular spread of seafood menu items that include fresh oysters, and miniature servings of individual dishes such as smoked salmon, green pea puree with octopus, and cold watermelon gazpacho. The brunch runs for four hours from midday and all the food is designed to share; so make sure to take some friends or family along to enjoy this weekend brunch in Dubai.

6. immerse yourself at the talisman SHOW AT the DUBAI MALL
The next feature on our list of things to do Dubai this weekend is taking a trip to one of the best malls in Dubai – The Dubai Mall. Something new and spectacular is taking place for Dubai Mall’s 10th birthday celebrations and it is the extravagant light and sound show called the Talisman. This 8-minute immersive multimedia show that will take place inside The Dubai Mall, has been crafted Lune Rouge, the live entertainment company created by Guy Laliberté – who founded Cirque du Soleil.

7. TAKE A TRIP TO DUBAI MIRACLE GARDEN
The best part about the weathers cooling down is that there are so many places in Dubai reopening for winter, one of them being the Dubai Miracle Garden. Running in its seventh season, the Dubai Miracle Garden offers its visitors the chance to see over 100 million flowers, crafted into record-breaking figurines. As part of your things to do in Dubai this week, make sure to visit this unique park and see the Mickey Mouse sculpture and the life-sized floral elephants, that spray water from their trunks.

8. get active at the Kite Beach Fitness Village
Looking for ways to get fit this week in Dubai? Just head down to the popular Kite Beach and take part in any of the fun fitness activities that are taking places there for the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2018. There will be fitness activities for all ages and abilities, which include beach sports tournaments such as cricket, soccer and volleyball, as well as the National Assault course – a challenging 2km course with 12 tricky obstacles.

9. Get artsy at Dubai Design Week
Dubai Design Week is considered to be one of the biggest November 2018 events in Dubai, that will bring together the art community from all different fields, to showcase the beauty of creativity.
