splurge at the GITEX shopper 2018

If you haven’t already visited GITEX Shopper 2018, then this should definitely be on your list of things to do in Dubai this week. There are some crazy deals and discounts at GITEX 2018 for electronics and gadgets from popular brands like Sharaf DG, Jumbo, eMAX and Jackey’s, so if you are on the lookout for some new tech, make sure you don’t miss this Dubai event this week. The event will go on till the 6th of October at Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC). If you are taking your car you can park at the multi-story parking opposite the convention centre which is AED 10 per hour but can be waved off on a minimum spend of AED 300. If you don’t want to take the hassle of finding parking, the easiest way you can get there is to take the metro to ‘World Trade Center’ metro station and take the free shuttle bus to the Zabeel Halls or take a cab.

Looking for some free events in Dubai this week? Then get ready to watch the American rapper Kid Ink perform two huge free concerts this weekend at Meydan’s hotspot Drai’s. This hotspot has already seen some huge R&B superstars like Flo Rida perform so this is definitely the place to be this weekend. Entry is free for this concert in Dubai this week, however, the first 100 ladies to enter will receive a complimentary sunbed.

dine at the ATLANTIS RESTAURANT WEEK

This one is for all the foodies in Dubai. The iconic Atlantis will be hosting a 10-day event where all the signature restaurants’ at this resort such as Nobu and Ossiano Underwater Restaurant & Bar will see reduced prices and provide visitors with an opportunity to meet some of the most renowned chefs in the world such as Nobu Matsuhisa and Gordon Ramsay. With more than six signature restaurants serving up set menus each day, this is definitely one of the must-do activities in Dubai this week.

watch to SHERYA Ghoshal live in concert

The next item on our list of things to do in Dubai this week is for all you Bollywood fans! Known as Bollywood’s ‘playback queen’, Shreya Ghoshal’s will be performing at DWTC. The 34-year-old singer will perform some of her best hits, with a full symphony orchestra, from her vast repertoire, which includes songs in 17 languages. Ghoshal rose to fame after she won the TV singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. and has since sung for over 14 films and is the recipient of three awards. Tickets can be purchased online.

5. WATCH ‘small foot’

HAVE A PICNIC AT THE NEW DSO PARK

This one is for all the residents living in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO)! If you’re looking for some fun outdoor activities in Dubai this week, then you should definitely visit the brand new public park there, called North Park. Located near the Cedre Villas, the North Park in Dubai Silicon Oasis is a green paradise that is fully equipped with a children’s play area, an outdoor gym with state-of-the-art fitness stations, a 2.2km jogging path and barbeque pits. There is also a football pitch, a tennis court, a volleyball court and even a skate park. Its the perfect place for a weekend picnic with the family.
