WHAT IS TASJEEL?

Tasjeel is a network of service centres across the UAE that takes care of all your vehicle testing and registration needs. It was established through a partnership between ENOC and the Dubai Police as a response to the rising number of vehicles in the city. Over time, it also took over vehicle testing and registration in Sharjah, as well.

Whether it’s testing your vehicle to renew car registration or having a used car inspected before buying it, ENOC Tasjeel is fully authorised to provide these services in one convenient location. These are RTA certified testing centres and compliant with federal traffic regulations, so residents can easily get their vehicle tested and registered at any of the Tasjeel centres.

WHAT SERVICES DO TASJEEL VEHICLE TESTING CENTRES PROVIDE?

Both Tasjeel Dubai and Tasjeel Sharjah provide a number of vehicles testing and registration services to make life easier for residents. Find out all the RTA Tasjeel services below, as well as fees for vehicle testing and more.

VEHICLE TESTING

Tasjeel Dubai offers a variety of RTA vehicle testing services across all its centres. One of its most popular services is the Renewal Test, which certifies vehicles as eligible for renewal of registration. This 45-minute test or inspection is mandatory prior to registration renewal for all vehicles more than three years old.

You can get the Tasjeel vehicle testing done at any centre in the emirate where your car is registered. The Tasjeel vehicle testing fees differ for centres in Dubai and Sharjah.

Fees: AED 170 (Dubai), AED 150 (Sharjah)

Aside from the Renewal Test, Tasjeel RTA services also include the Import and Export Test, which certifies vehicles imported before registration and those that are being exported.

RTA REGISTRATION RENEWAL

Vehicle owners can renew their car registration at Tasjeel centres in Dubai and Sharjah, after completing the vehicle testing. While the RTA renewal of car registration can now be done online, this may be useful for customers who want to avail further Tasjeel services.

Please ensure you have all the necessary documents before applying for the Tasjeel car registration renewal.

COMPREHENSIVE TEST

Tasjeel provides a handy service for second-hand car buyers and sellers known as the ‘Comprehensive Test’. Planning to buy a second-hand vehicle? The Tasjeel Comprehensive Test will give you a reliable assessment of the vehicle’s current condition. This test will help you make an informed decision when purchasing or selling a second-hand vehicle. The Comprehensive Test takes an hour and 15 minutes, including a driving test.

Please note that this service is only available at certain centres. The Tasjeel Comprehensive Test fee, however, remains the same in both Dubai and Sharjah.

CAR VALUATION CERTIFICATE

Want to know the actual market value of a second-hand car you are planning to buy? With the Tasjeel Car Valuation Certificate, you can get an accurate estimate of the value of the vehicle. To get this certificate, you need to first complete the Comprehensive Test, after which you can apply for the certificate.

Please note that while the Comprehensive Test is conducted at various centres, the Car Valuation Certificate is only provided at certain centres like Tasjeel Qusais. Also, there is an extra Tasjeel Car Valuation fees in addition to the Comprehensive Test.

CHASSIS CHECKING SERVICE

Another helpful Tasjeel service for those buying or selling used cars is the Chassis Checking Service. You can be completely satisfied with the condition of the vehicle with the Tasjeel Chassis Check. The Tasjeel fees for this service vary between light and heavy vehicles.

Fees: AED 475 (for light vehicles)

TASJEEL VIP SERVICE

Have a busy schedule? Enjoy priority treatment with the VIP service, available at certain locations in Dubai and Sharjah. The Tasjeel VIP service charges are AED 150, in addition to the fees for other services you avail.

TASJEEL NUMBER PLATE SERVICES

You can get your vehicle’s number plate fixed at major ENOC Tasjeel centres in Dubai and Sharjah. The cost of fixing the number plate is included in the first-time registration fees. However, if you are replacing the number plate, there is an extra charge.

TASJEEL INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENCE

Want to travel outside the UAE and drive? You can easily get your international driving licence at the main Tasjeel Sharjah and Dubai centres for a small fee.

To apply for the international driving licence Dubai at centres like Tasjeel Barsha, bring along the following documents with you:

Valid UAE driving licence
Emirates ID
Two passport-size pictures

Submit these documents at the centre and you’ll receive your international driving licence in no time!

GULF SPECIFICATION TEST

The RTA Tasjeel centres also provide Gulf Specification tests for vehicles imported into the UAE. This service ensures that the vehicles are compatible with the GCC driving conditions in the UAE.

Fees: AED 330 (for light vehicles)

Other services provided include On Board Diagnosis, which tests all of the vehicle’s electronics and identifies any problems, along with Battery Tests. The RTA Tasjeel centres also offer any typing services needed for RTA and Sharjah Police procedures.

SERVICES FOR CORPORATE CUSTOMERS AND HEAVY VEHICLES

Aside from the personal use services mentioned above, Tasjeel Dubai and Sharjah also provide services for heavy vehicles and corporate fleets.
