At the time of its completion in 2012, Elite Residence was the third tallest residential building in the world. Ocean Heights is currently the sixth-tallest residential building in Dubai. Two variations of this building were initially proposed. The first version had only 38 floors, and the second design had 50 floors.

7. CAYAN TOWER (307 M)
Inaugurated in 2013, this 307 m building is considered yet another masterpiece of modern architecture. Featuring a unique design that twists at a right angle, Cayan Tower is one of the tallest residential buildings in Dubai.
Designed by the architectural group – Skidmore, Owing and Merrill SOM of the Burj-Khalifa fame, this 76-storey structure has more than a hundred 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments designed to high international specifications.
8. EMIRATES CROWN (296 M)
The eighth entry on our list of the tallest residential buildings in Dubai is Emirates Crown. It is located right across from the Dubai International Marina Club. A master development project of Bin Shafer Holding and the Design and Architecture Bureau, it is 296 m tall.
The tower has 63 floors dedicated to apartments and penthouses with 2 to 5 bedrooms. Construction started in early 2005 and took almost three years to complete. It was officially inaugurated in 2008.
9. MILLENIUM TOWER (285 M)
Located on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), Millennium Tower rises 285 m above the ground. The building consists of 60 floors. Inaugurated in 2006, it is home to over 300 three-bedroom units and over 100 two-bedroom units.
Formerly known as the Bright Star Tower, this residential tower features a 25-metre swimming pool, squash courts and a gymnasium.
10. MARINA PINNACLE (280 M)
Marina Pinnacle is another tall skyscraper in Dubai. It is located in Dubai Marina right next to Marina 101. The skyscraper stands 280 m tall and has 73 floors with 764 residential units.
