DARB is an automated toll gate system in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It was launched in January 2021 and is designed to reduce traffic congestion and encourage the use of public transport during peak hours. This comprehensive guide will elaborate on Abu Dhabi Salik registration, toll gate locations, payment methods and much more.
HOW TO REGISTER VEHICLE IN DARB
As mentioned above, Abu Dhabi toll gate registration is compulsory for motorists in the city. DARB uses Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to track vehicles as they pass through designated toll gates.
All vehicles are subject to a charge of AED 4 on passing through the Abu Dhabi toll gate locations during rush hours. However, people with an Abu Dhabi registered vehicle do not need to create an account. An account is automatically created when you register a car in Abu Dhabi.
People visiting the UAE capital from other emirates must create an account and register DARB Toll Gate System. The toll gates are located on four bridges in Abu Dhabi, including Al Maqta Bridge, Mussafah Bridge, Sheikh Zayed Bridge and Sheikh Khalifa Bridge.
If you haven’t registered for Abu Dhabi Salik yet, now is the best time to sign up for the DARB Abu Dhabi Toll Gate System. The new Abu Dhabi toll registration portal is available online. You can go for DARB Salik registration via:
- DARB website (http://darb.itc.gov.ae)
- DARB Abu Dhabi toll gate app
Abu Dhabi Salik registration online is quite a simple process.
