SCUBA DIVING

From stunning shipwrecks to beautiful coral reefs and an abundance of marine life, a dive in the waters around Snoopy Island is truly one to be remembered. The water is warm year-round and offers perfect diving conditions.

The Sandy Beach Dive Centre provides diving services and equipment for both professional divers and amateurs. Beginners are trained by certified PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) professionals, ranging from PADI Open Water Scuba Diving instructors to PADI Master Instructors. Depending on individual needs, customers can take diving courses, further their diving education or enjoy a one-time pleasure diving trip in the waters surrounding the island.

A typical dive starts with an orientation from the shore. After that, customers are taken on a shore dive around the island. Before getting on the boat, which anchors at the northwest part of the island, customers are first provided with a briefing on where they can find different aquatic species during their dive. 

From green turtles to mackerel, colourful reef fish and even reef sharks, the waters are full of ocean wildlife in different corners of the island.

To up the ante, go for a night dive, and you might just come across the elusive red reef octopus in this area. A 3m dive northeast will take you to the Brain Coral clusters. Schedule your dive in the late afternoon, and you might witness a turtle or two resting under the base. HOW TO GET TO SNOOPY ISLAND FUJAIRAH?

Snoopy Island is located in Aqah, Fujairah, 180 km from Dubai. The trip takes roughly two hours. Alternatively, the cheapest way to get to Fujairah is to take a bus from the Deira bus stop.
