NEW JETTY LAUNCH
In February 2022, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, launched a new jetty. It features solar lighting, firefighting equipment and eight mooring dolphins. Additionally, the jetty allows two vessels to harbour simultaneously, enabling over 5,000 passengers to enter and exit seacrafts.
Before the inauguration of the jetty, authorities transported visitors to and from the beach via a tender craft. With this new jetty, it is expected that there will be more visitors to the island. Not to mention, embarkment/disembarkment of passengers will take less time, enhancing the overall experience.
