WHAT IS THE SIKKA ART FAIR IN DUBAI?
A flagship event of Dubai Art Season (DAS), the Sikka Art Fair, is an annual artistic celebration to appreciate the creative talents in Dubai. It began under the supervision of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Sikka Art Festival marks its 12th anniversary this year.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SIKKA ART FESTIVAL 2024?
The twelfth edition of the Sikka Art Festival will take place in the historic Al Shindagha neighbourhood. The festival will feature numerous events dedicated to visual arts, theatre, music and film, featuring artists from UAE and the GCC.
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority had previously initiated an open call inviting UAE/ GCC based and Emirati artists to showcase their work at the upcoming art fest — ranging from visual arts to sculpture, photography and painting.
The event will also include talks, cinematic performances, interactive workshops and panels.
A new addition to the festival for this year is the inclusion of a Culinary Arts category by the Dubai Culture Authority. Its aim will be to highlight the influence of various cultures in the emirate.
SIKKA ART FAIR 2024 DATES AND LOCATION
Sikka Art Fair will run for ten days. Here are details regarding its dates and location:

- Location: Al Shindagha Historical Neighbourhood

GETTING THERE
There are plenty of ways for visitors to get to the Sikka Art Fair Dubai.
- Dubai Metro: The closest metro to the historical district is Al Ghubaiba station in Al Shindagha, Bur Dubai. It is within a two-minute walk to Al Shindagha Museum. The underground station is on the Dubai Metro Green Line.
- Car: Those bringing their own vehicles can park them at Khaleej Street. Another option is Shindagha City Centre Parking — located within a 10-minute walk from the museum.
- Ferry: Hop on the Dubai Ferry at Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station. It’s a minute’s walk to the museum after you alight.
Aside from these two options, you can choose other modes of public transportation in Dubai.
