List of schools offering fee discounts in Dubai for the third term
In light of the current challenging situation, universities and schools across Dubai are doing their part to support parents across the city by offering reduced fees and discounts on transportation costs. These discounts on Dubai school fees during the coronavirus pandemic is aimed at helping out parents who may be facing financial challenges due to the outbreak. Here is a look at all the schools that have announced school fee discounts in Dubai, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
SCHOOLS OFFERING FEES DISCOUNT IN DUBAI
Following the closure of schools and the subsequent initiation of distance learning programs in the UAE to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country, a number of parents have raised concerns over the payment of school transport and tuition fees in Dubai.
Many families are currently facing financial challenges, so in a bid to reduce the strain on families, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), announced that all schools in Dubai must refund the Term 3 bus fees to parents. Following this, most of these schools are now also offering a discount on school tuition for the third term in the academic year spanning from 2019 to 2020.
TAALEEM SCHOOLS
One of the leading education providers in the UAE that is offering discounts on Dubai school fees is Taaleem. The group which operates in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will reduce tuition fees for the third academic term across their entire portfolio of schools.
Students in Taaleem’s Primary, Elementary and Secondary grades will receive a 20% discount on school fees, while Foundation and Kindergarten fees will be discounted by 25%.
Parent Payment Plans, Re-enrolment Packages and reduced schools fees for the next academic year are also being facilitated by the group. Additionally, Taaleem will waive application fees and payment plans for deposits for the next academic year. Some of the popular Taaleem schools in Dubai include the Dubai British School in Emirates Hills, Jumeira Baccalaureate School, Al Mizhar American Academy and Uptown School.
GEMS SCHOOLS
GEMS Education, which is one of the top education providers in the UAE has also announced discounts on Dubai school fees for the final term in the current academic year due to COVID-19.
In a recently published statement, GEMS said it will offer a school fees discount in Dubai between 20% and 50% for the summer term. The provider, which operates some of the top schools in Dubai said the move will benefit parents of more than 20,000 pupils enrolled in its schools. These discounts will be applied after the school authorities assess the needs of its parents.
AL NAJAH EDUCATION
Another education provider that is offering a reduction of Dubai school fees during the coronavirus pandemic is Al Najah Education. This UAE-based education provider announced they will be reducing school fees by 20% at Horizon English School, which is one of the best schools in Jumeirah. Students at Horizon International School will also benefit from this Dubai school fees discount.
This 20% reduction in school fees at the provider’s Jumeirah based schools, will apply to all year groups for the third term.
INNOVENTURES EDUCATION
Innoventures Education is also offering a 20% discount on Dubai tuition fees across its schools for the 2019/2020 academic calendar in the UAE. This provider manages schools such as the Collegiate American School, Dubai International Academy Al Barsha, Dubai International Academy Emirates Hills, Raffles International School, Raffles World Academy and Raffles Starters (Early Learning Centre).
FORTES EDUCATION
Fortes Education, which manages Sunmarke School in JVT, and Regent International School in The Greens, has also announced that they will provide a 25% decrease in term three tuition fees for Foundation Stages 1 and 2. They will also offer a 20% reduction in school fees for Years 1 to 13. These fee discounts will be applicable to new enrolments in the school as well.
SAFA SCHOOLS
Similar to many of the other schools on this list Safa Community School, which is one of the best schools in Al Barsha is providing a 20% discount on the school tuition for term three. The school said that parents who have already paid the entire fee can request for refunds. This COVID-19 Dubai school fees discount is also extended to Safa British School.
NORD ANGLIA SCHOOL
Another popular school for tenants in the villas for rent in Al Barsha, that is offering a discount on Dubai school fees because of coronavirus is Nord Anglia School. This school is part of the International Education Group which manages over 30 schools located all over the world. The school, which offers its students the IB curriculum will reduce fees by 15% for the third term.
REPTON DUBAI
Repton Dubai will also provide tuition fees discounts in Dubai for its pupils of 15%. The British curriculum school has an average tuition fee ranging between AED 52,863 – AED 95,000, making it one of the most expensive schools in Dubai. So this discount will certainly help parents in these testing times.
DUBAI ENGLISH SPEAKING SCHOOL
Dubai English Speaking School and Dubai English Speaking College are also joining the list of leading Dubai schools providing tuition fee discounts due to COVID-19. Both educational institutions have reduced their fees by 20%.
In addition to the above-mentioned schools, here is a list of all the other schools providing a discount on school tuition fees in Dubai during the pandemic.
- Arcadia School – 20% discount on school fees
- The Next Generation School – 20% on third term fees. Parents who’ve paid the full amount will have the amount transferred to the re-enrolment fee for next year.
- Dubai Heights Academy – 10% discount on fees for the third academic term of this year as well as the option to spread payments over three months starting from April
- Ranches Primary School – 20% reduction on term three fees by for all foundation stage pupils and a 15% discount for students from Year one to six.
EMIRATES INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS (EIS)
Stepping up to ensure students don’t miss out on vital education due to financial constraints, Emirates International Schools (EIS) in Dubai have also announced fee discounts for third term. This fee relief will be given in the form of means-tested discounts of up to 50% based on the parents’ financial standing. The discounts can be availed by parents of both EIS branches in Dubai – EIS Jumeirah and EIS Meadows by approaching school management before April 30, 2020.
As you can see, most of the schools in Dubai are offering discounts on tuition fees to help parents cope with any financial difficulties during this time. Some of the top universities in Dubai are also joining in and offering discounts for college tuition fees. Canadian University Dubai has reduced its fees by 30% for existing and returning students while the University of Wollongong has offered a 25% discount. SP Jain School of Global Management has also allocated approximately AED 257k towards scholarships for students.
