A beautifully unique destination in Dubai: The Quranic Park
The Quranic Park is a picturesque and cultural destination in Dubai that offers a glimpse into the miracles of Islam. The park is free to enter and is home to lush green landscapes as well as a beautiful lake. Let’s explore and discover everything the Quranic Park Dubai has to offer.
WHAT’S INSIDE THE QURANIC PARK DUBAI?
The Quranic Park is one of the best parks in Dubai. It is a sprawling 64-hectare verdant space inspired by the features mentioned in the Holy Quran.
There are four sections in Quranic Park Dubai: The Cave of Miracles, The Greenhouse, The Lake and The Orchards.
Let’s now take a look at each of these features in detail.
CAVE OF MIRACLES
Cave of Miracles is one of the major attractions in the Quranic Park. This spectacular man-made cave houses interactive displays that show seven of the miracles mentioned in the Holy Quran. You can see exhibits of the miracles of Prophet Uzair (PBUH), Prophet Musa/Moses (PBUH) and others at the park.
There are video clips throughout the cave as visitors make their way through. A guide points you in the right direction after every clip. It’s an excellent chance to learn more about Islam.
- Entry Fee: AED 5
THE GREENHOUSE
The Greenhouse is a must-visit site for botany enthusiasts and is located towards the back of the park. The Greenhouse, also known as The Glass House, contains 29 plants and trees that are mentioned in the Holy Quran.
You can find corn, olive trees, basil, barley, pomegranates, bananas, wheat and various other flora. Keep an eye out for a signpost at the entrance of the Greenhouse that lists all the trees and plants present there.
Whilst roaming this beautiful and calming space, guests get the opportunity to learn about the various trees and plants through descriptive plaques. Stroll up the ramp towards the observation deck for excellent views and the chance to take some memorable photos.
There are also restrooms in here and spaces for people to pray. Feeling hungry? Stop by a small food cart outside The Greenhouse that sells snacks and beverages.
- Entry Fee: AED 5
THE LAKE
Visitors will also find a beautiful lake in the middle of the Greenhouse in Quranic Park Dubai. Split into two, the lake symbolises the miracle of the serpent that appeared when Prophet Musa (Moses) threw his staff at God’s command. The appearance of the snake was God’s way of asserting the truth of his sovereignty and the prophet’s sincerity towards obstinate individuals. The lake epitomises exactly that.
THE ORCHARDS
Apart from lush green lawns and a lake, there are 12 orchards in Dubai Quranic Park. They are spread throughout the park and contain more than 12 different species of plants.
You can find fig, olive, black seed, cucumber, lentil, ginger, palms, grapes, basil, citrus and pomegranate orchards. There are even kiosks with golden Arabic calligraphy that describe what these gardens contain and their benefits.
