Hi. I need to renew my kids passports (19 & 17 years old). Passports are going to expire in Oct 2020. However, we want to get them renewed now to avoid any issue if we travel to US/Canada in July/August. Is it possible to renew now for 10 years. What documents would be required. We do not have family registration certificate but kids have valid NICOPs (non-chip).
Regards
Hi Irfan,
Thanks for writing to us. You can apply for online Pakistani passport renewal in Dubai ONLY if the existing passport has expired or is valid for less than 7 months. It is possible to renew passports for 5 or 10 years, depending on your preferences. You do not need a Family Registration Certificate or computerised B-form as long as your child has a Smart Card.
Since your children have non-chip NICOPs, it’s best that you reach out to the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on +971-2-444-7800, for case-relevant information.

You can download the fingerprint form when you reach the “fingerprint section” of the application. The DGIP website does not say anything about pre-downloading and keeping the form ready beforehand.

A.O.A
i am in dubai applying for passport renewal normal 36 pages 10 year, fee is 185 according to fee structure, but when i am submitting application it shows 9858 PKR, almost 220 aed
2ndly while paying from debit card deduction will be in PKR or AED,,,????
THANKS
Hi Qammar,
Thanks for writing to us. The renewal fee stated in the fee structure does not include the passport delivery charges (where applicable) and any taxes that may be applicable on passport renewal. These may account for the additional cost you have to bear. You can check the PKR cost on: https://onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk/fee-details/
The deduction from your debit card depends on the what currency account you have. If you have an AED account, the deduction would be the PKR amount converted into AED.
We hope this helps. Have a nice day!

My pakistani id card expired in March 2020 now I want to renew my passport so what can I do now?
Hi Muhammad,
Thanks for writing to us. The requirements for passport renewal clearly mention that you need coloured copies of a “VALID CNIC.” So it’s best to renew your CNIC before applying for passport renewal.
You can use the NADRA online portal to apply for your CNIC/NICOP: https://id.nadra.gov.pk/identity-documents/identity-nicop/. Simply click on the link and select “APPLY NOW” and it will take you through the application process.
You can find the details for application fee, here: https://id.nadra.gov.pk/fee/
We hope you find the information useful. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance to you. Do stay tuned to MyBayut!
Thanks… This is very helpful information. However, I want to know about the payment process. The amount showing on the online portal is in PKR.
1> So do I need to pay from my Pakistani Credit Card.
2> How can I see the AED amount and pay from Dubai Credit Card?
3> Does it make any difference if I pay from Dubai or Pakistani Credit Card?
Hi Tayyab,
Thanks for writing to us. We are glad you find the information useful.
1> So do I need to pay from my Pakistani Credit Card. The amount on the DGIP portal is shown in PKR, but you can pay the application fee online at e-Services Portal using any valid credit/debit card.
2> How can I see the AED amount and pay from Dubai Credit Card? The calculation for the AED amount might be slightly tricky because it involves the currency conversion rate and any other service and/or delivery charges applicable on your application. The table provided above gives you an estimated amount you’d incur in AED.
3> Does it make any difference if I pay from Dubai or Pakistani Credit Card? The only difference would be the exchange rate applicable on the AED payment.
For more clarification on the matter we recommend you reach out directly to the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. You can call them on +971-2-444-7800.

Thanks for the Clarification…. I have researched from my resources about how secure is to apply online and how long it will take to apply via online portal. Most of them have not recommended applying from online portal and said that if your application stuck for some reason then it will be really difficult to follow up and it will take so long to sort the issues. Is this true?
They all recommend going physically to the consulate and apply by hand.
Hi Tayyab,
Thanks for writing to us. The online renewal service is meant to provide convenience to those who find it difficult to visit the embassy. However, since both channels are functional, it is a matter of choice based on what you find more convenient.
We hope this helps. Have a nice day!
