New IKEA Store in Dubai: Opening, Location, Timings & More

One of Dubai’s top furniture stores, IKEA has opened its second branch in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The new IKEA store in Dubai opened today on December 18, 2019 and it is bigger and better than all the other branches in the region. The Jebel Ali IKEA branch is spread over a massive 35,000 sq.m. area and will house a number of operational, administrative, and display facilities.

This is the biggest IKEA store in the UAE, with a market hall, bakery, café, restaurant, food store, kids’ play area and warehouse inside. It also serves as the new IKEA UAE headquarters for UAE and Oman, with back-of-house facilities and a staff training centre in it.

The Jebel Ali IKEA store is located in the Festival Plaza Mall, which is part of the Wasl Gate residential development in the Jebel Ali area. The store’s trademark blue building can be seen from Sheikh Zayed Road as you travel towards Abu Dhabi.

According to Vinod Jayan, the managing director for IKEA UAE and Oman, the new store and the brand collectively, aims for the lowest possible product prices. Affordability has always been IKEA’s core strength. Products in IKEA UAE are the cheapest they have ever been in the past decade. With the new store in Dubai, the brand plans to go even cheaper than that! If nothing else, the new IKEA Dubai will make budget home decoration way more convenient.

The new IKEA store in Dubai is open all week. The IKEA Jebel Ali opening hours from Monday to Wednesday is 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. The IKEA store timings on Thursday through Saturday are 10:00 am to 12:00 am.
