A Moon in the Dunes? All about Dubai’s new Moon Lake!
A gorgeous crescent-shaped lake has been discovered around Al Qudra. Called the “Moon Lake”, this mesmerising lake was first spotted by a UAE based photographer, Mostafa, who goes by @100.pixels on Instagram.
Here’s everything we know about this newly revealed lake, so you can plan your next weekend getaway with ease!
MOON LAKE DUBAI’S LOCATION
Moon Lake is situated in the middle of the Al Qudra desert. To find it on Google Maps, you can type in its coordinates as follows: 24.7874218, 55.3065662.
Since it is situated in the desert, keep in mind that you will need a 4×4 to reach Moon Lake. This lake is near Love Lake in Al Qudra, a very popular attraction beloved by local residents and tourists.
ATTRACTIONS AROUND THE LAKE
The area around Moon Lake is serene and calm, with the serene beauty of nature leaving visitors in a relaxed state of mind. Surrounded by the reassuring quietness of the desert, you’ll likely spot some of the local wildlife (including Oryxes) around the lake. The views during sunsets and sunrise are spectacular…representing a real treat for the eyes.
This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. The discovery of the Moon Lake comes right after that of the Pink Lake in Ras Al Khaimah, that has pink coloured water (due to the algae reacting to the water)!
