You Make the Change Campaign
This campaign is a part of the extensive list of initiatives by MOHAP to raise awareness about obesity in the country. It was started as a part of the National Agenda 2021 which aims to reduce the risk of diseases caused by obesity such as diabetes and cardiovascular disorders.
Keep on Beating Campaign
The Keep on Beating Campaign encourages positive lifestyle changes and detects habits and risk factors that may cause cardiovascular diseases.
Heart Experts Programme
Designed to find the indicators of the fatality on account of cardiovascular diseases, Heart Experts Programme is one of the major initiatives taken by MOHAP. The programme selects students to serve as ambassadors to disseminate knowledge about the heart diseases in their schools and neighbourhood.
Travelers Health Clinic initiative
This initiative aims to assess health risks pertaining to travelling, carry out important medical tests and identify vaccinations required based on the destination.
Naselkom Initiative
In line with the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Prevention to make developments in the healthcare sector, the Naselkom Initiative is an important step in incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into the UAE’s medical services. It is aimed towards providing treatment of rheumatic diseases with the help of a telemedicine system so that patients can get a diagnosis quickly and efficiently.
Ownak Initiative
In a bid to offer preventive and curative services to the elderly, MOHAP has also launched the Ownak Initiative. The initiative aims to facilitate and expedite the timely access to health care services for older individuals in the UAE.
Giving Clinics
A part of the Year of Giving’ 2017 initiative, Giving Clinics aim to provide free medical consultations to all patients in the 20 hospitals affiliated with the Ministry.
Read in Health Initiative
The MOHAP Training and Development Centre launched the Read In Health Initiative to promote the love of reading among employees. The initiative was introduced during the Year of Reading by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
MOHAP Maharati System
The UAE Health Ministry has also launched the Maharati system, a smart e-learning program as a part of its efforts to improve the healthcare infrastructure in the UAE. Designed as per the international standards, the system caters to a variety of training programs, right from registration to certification.
