WHAT’S A CAT CAFÉ?
Cat cafés are themed cafés where patrons get to spend quality time with the furry felines that call the place home. Originating in Taiwan in 1998, the concept swiftly swept across the Pacific and became immensely popular in Japan. Today, you can find these concept cafés all over the world.
ABOUT MEOW CAFE AL RAHA BEACH
Cute as a button…every one of them! Meet Yuki, Mocha, Caramel, Candel and the other adorable kitties at Abu Dhabi’s first cat café.
They have a separate room for the cats, where the fluffy residents are free to wander. From Siamese to Persian, you’ll get to interact with a whole variety of cute cat breeds at Meow.
Located at Al Muneera – a beachfront residential community on Al Raha Beach – Meow Café enchants visitors in many ways. The cosy, well-lit space is home to more than a dozen furry inhabitants….but that’s not all, there’s also tasty eats and drinks for guests to indulge in. Zaatar croissants, crepe cakes, tiramisu, mini pancakes and a selection of other delicious delights are all up for grabs. Eyeing up an accompanying beverage? The Spanish lattes and iced Americanos are super tasty.
MEOW CAFE TIMINGS AND ENTRY FEE
Want to make new feline friends at this one-of-a-kind café? You can visit the eatery any day between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm. The ticket prices of MeowCafe are as follows:
- Tickets: AED 45 for one hour per adult | AED 35 for one hour per child (under the age of 10)
Children under the age of three will enjoy free entry.
Please note that the prices shown above are the entry fees for the cat section of Meow Café – food and beverages must be paid for separately.
CAT RULES
The cat rules at Meow Café are in place to ensure the safety of both residents and the visitors:
- Face masks are mandatory except when eating and drinking.
- Hand sanitiser should be used regularly, especially before entering the cat lounge.
- Eating and drinking is allowed in the cafe area only.
- We know it’s hard to resist, but not all cats like being picked up. Ask the cat lounge attendant first before picking them up.
- Do not pick up and bring the cats near your face.
- No running, jumping, stomping, throwing, or yelling is permitted.
- Cats are known for sleeping a lot. Please don’t wake the cats.
- You can take photos and videos without flash.
- Cats are required to remain in the cat lounge. When opening doors, keep an eye out for cats.
- Check out with the cat lounge attendant when you’re finished so they can let you leave.
- Confirm with the cat lounge attendant if your cat eats a specific meal at a given time.

Where is Meow Cafe located?
It is located in the Al Munnera community adjacent to Al Bandar on the eastern side of Al Raha Beach.
Can I bring my own cat?
No, personal pets are not allowed inside the cafe. Hwoever, there are many pet-friendly places in Abu Dhabi where you can take your furry friends with you.
Do I need the Green Pass to enter Meow Cafe?
Yes, entry to the cafe is only allowed to those who have green status on their Al Hosn app. Also, If you have symptoms of fever, runny nose or cough, or have come into contact with someone who has COVID-19, it is best to reschedule your visit.
Can kids go alone in the cats’ area?
Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. One adult for every two children will suffice.
Also, please note that guardians are accountable for the conduct of the children they are accompanying and should take necessary precautions to avoid mishaps.
Can I bring food to the cats’ area?
Nope, food is not permitted in the cats’ area. This is to prevent visitors from feeding the cats and also to avoid the cats eating any crumbs that might fall on the floor.
