What’s it like living in the world’s tallest building?
Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world, is an iconic landmark in Dubai and, without a doubt, one of the most popular tourist spots in the emirate. It goes without saying that the iconic building is also the most sought-after place to live. So, if you are one of those lucky ones who are planning to call the glamorous address their home, then you must first know what it’s like living in Burj Khalifa. Let’s start from the top!
LIVING IN BURJ KHALIFA
ICONIC VIEWS
Stating the obvious here, but it’s worth mentioning that this one’s our favourite thing about living in Burj Khalifa. Any apartment higher than the 20th floor in the UAE can give you amazing views. But only an apartment in Burj Khalifa gives you spectacular aerial views of the entire city. Not to mention the fact that the sky is (literally) the limit.
The skyscraper scales up to 160 stories and stands tall; the height of Burj Khalifa is 828 metres. Levels 19 to 108 form The Residences component of the tower. So why limit yourself to views from the 20th floor when an additional 88 floors are on the table?
To add to the appeal, the floor-to-ceiling windows in the Burj Khalifa apartments make it so much more enticing. Imagine walking into your apartment and seeing all of Dubai sprawled in front of you. And can you imagine the view at night? Glittering Dubai city lights against the night sky – we cannot think of a better way to end your day.
FACILITIES THAT ARE FIT FOR A KING
Valet service, Jacuzzis and tennis courts – do we have your attention now? It is only natural that the residents enjoy the most luxurious facilities in Burj Khalifa (because living in the tallest building in the world isn’t already awesome enough).
But once we got into the specifics of the facilities that Burj Khalifa residents enjoy, we couldn’t help but be a little envious. Take a look at some of these below:
- Valet parking
- Concierge service
- Tennis court
- Indoor/outdoor swimming pool
- Jacuzzis
- Fitness centre
- Recreation room for gatherings & events
- 24 hours’ maintenance
- Business centre
- Security
- Communal gardens
APARTMENTS IN BURJ KHALIFA = WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF
Keeping aside the (hard-to-ignore) fact that Burj Khalifa is the world’s most prestigious address to be living at, once you’ve taken a look at the apartments, you’ll understand why it’s so much more than just that. The iconic landmark has over 900 residential units, including studios, 1, 2, 3 nad 4-bedroom suites. Think gorgeous dark-stained wood floors with state-of-the-art luxury fittings, and elemental floor-to-ceiling windows giving you the striking views of Dubai we fondly mentioned earlier.
THE GLITZ AND GLAMOUR
And now for the most obvious factor of all. Burj Khalifa is inevitably the most glamorous address in the world. Hopping into a cab and asking to be dropped off at Burj Khalifa (because that’s where home is) is a dream many of us harbour. But alas, only a few are lucky enough to be living the fantasy.
The Residences at Burj Khalifa are “designed for the connoisseur” and clearly possess all the factors to give high-flying individuals their money’s worth.
The glamour element of living in Burj Khalifa can also be attributed to common celebrity sightings in the tower. Giorgio Armani’s hotel is located within the tower, you might run into a celebrity or high-profile socialite who frequent the building.
Dubai is one of the top choices of celebrities looking to invest overseas, with many who own apartments in the emirate.
CENTRAL LOCATION
Burj Khalifa’s location in the ‘Centre of Now’ Downtown Dubai is just the cherry on top. With the UAE’s largest shopping mall just a stone’s throw away, the residents here are never short of shopping and dining options.
An internal link takes residents directly to Dubai Mall, making it super convenient. The spectacular Dubai Fountains also make for great views from Burj Khalifa apartments. It’s no surprise that the happening neighbourhood makes up most of our list of things to do in 24 hours in Dubai.
