Similar to KidZania Dubai, KidZania Abu Dhabi is an interactive, edutainment facility that combines fun and learning through unique role-playing activities. If you want your kids to get a taste of adult life; know how doctors work, or discover how bankers handle big transactions, KidZania will be a perfect learning zone for them.
Story of KidZania
When it was first introduced in 1999 in Santa Fe, Mexico, KidZania became an instant hit. The success of the facility motivated the Mexican entrepreneur Xavier López Ancona, the Founder and CEO of KidZania to open branches of KidZania in other parts of the world. There are currently 24 branches of KidZania in 19 cities.
KidZania Abu Dhabi is one such facility. It is one of the most interactive play areas in Abu Dhabi where kids can know more about the nature of adults’ work and learn to make financial decisions, explore professions and simulate daily life. In addition to role-playing, they can also enjoy dance performances by RightZKeepers, the fictional guardians of KidZania Abu Dhabi.
Activities at KidZania Abu Dhabi
Kids can indulge in a variety of role-play activities at KidZania at the end of which they will receive KidZos, the Kidzania currency as salary.
Supermarket
Kids can work as a grocer or administrator at the supermarket. They will receive 8 kidZos to buy grocery from KidZania supermarket.
- Duration: 20 minutes per session
Hospital
There are three types of roles that kids can take up in this activity. They can perform surgery, take care of the injured and look after the kids in the nursery. They will receive 12 KidZos for surgery and 8 for other tasks.
- Duration: 28 minutes per session
Courier Service
As the name suggests, kids can assume the role of a mail distributor in this activity. At the end of the session, they receive 5 KidZos as salary. It is a replica of courier service in Dubai.
- Duration: 20 minutes per session
Bank
In this facility, kids will learn about opening a bank account, requesting a debit card and saving money as a cashier.
- Duration: 5 minutes per session
Employment Office
Kids will learn how to approach different job offers through this interactive activity. Moreover, they will also receive general information about the other activities at KidZania’s employment office.
- Duration: 5 minutes per session
Driving Circuit
Driving Circuit is another popular attraction at KidZania. Kids can enjoy driving through the circuit in this activity.
- Duration: 10 minutes per session
Vault
Kids will collect and deliver KidZos to and from various establishments in KidZania for which they will receive 8 KidZos.
- Duration: 28 minutes per session
Crime Scene Investigation
Kids will learn how to connect the dots between the crime and evidence at this interactive zone. They will get a briefing and an opportunity to solve the case by collecting and analysing evidence from the crime scene in this activity.
- Duration: 30 minutes per session
Theatre
Theatre offers kids an opportunity to learn more about performing arts in Dubai. Kids can enjoy a range of free shows and performances at the KidZania theatre.

Frequent visitors to this play zone can consider enrolling for B-KidZanian – a ‘citizenship program’ by KidZania to experience various activities. Once you’re a part of the program, you’ll receive an official ‘PaZZport’ with a special hologram sticker of every activity you’ve participated in, at KidZania. As you get more stickers, you will be able to access exclusive benefits at the facility.

There are three levels at the program:

What is the age limit to visit KidZania?
Anybody can visit the attraction, regardless of their age; however, most activities at KidZania are for kids aged between four and sixteen years.
Can I bring food inside to feed my children?
No, you cannot bring outside food to KidZania; you can buy food from the outlets available inside.
Is a baby stroller allowed at KidZania?
Yes, there is a designated parking area for baby strollers.
Can we bring our nanny inside for free?
